Christmas Event;; The Mysterious Gift

Nix turned over in her sleep, she could see her hands in front of her reaching out to something that kept backing away from her. Shadow was watching over her sister with worried mews every few seconds before she just couldnt take the murmuring, she turned and flicked her tail over her sister hair making nix wake up with a yelp. Nix turned to the eevee and would have shouted at her for waking her had she not seen the look on the pokemon face and she sighed, so her dream had been that clear to see. Nix reached a hand out to her sister who came forwards, the eevee mewed again at her sister before she turned her gaze towards their new box. Nix had opened it before bed last night to find inside a pair of gloves, of course she had no idea what they didnt but they were comfy and so she was using them now. Nix forced herself to her feet and then pulled on her cloak and nodded to shadow, the eevee climbed up her side and sat on her shoulder as nix pushed open the door and started out on to the street. She walked down the little side street for a little while before she found herself wondering, had there been anything more to the box?

She dipped her hand inside her cloak and pulled the box free of her pocket and pulled it open again, nothing there. She had been hoping for some information about the gloves but she couldnt find anything in there so she sighed and snapped it shut, only to find herself somewhere new. She looked around only to find herself yelping in shock, she knew this place! She could see herself, smaller and thinner running towards small shed with her arm curled up tightly and her hair wet with rain. She shivered with cold as soon as she was inside the barn but moved over to a pokemon in a tiny side stall and bent down, dropping berries over the ground before the pokemon who leaned forwards to reveal herself. Aqua, Shadows mother. The vapereon lowered her head to eat from the berries and nix found her little self reaching out to the pet the female, the older nix leaned away with a small sob before she pulled shadow away and in to her arms. She knew how this memory ended, she didnt want shadow to see her own mother die

[Hikari]

Hikari stretched as she sat up out of bed, and reached for her robe. It was an action of habit, more than anything, her mind distracted by the memory of the disturbed girl from the day before. As if on cue, a weight thumped lightly into her chest: she had worn the key from the box as a necklace, and worn it to bed in a last minute action to protect it from these others the girl had been so worried about. What made this key so special? And what of the box? checking within her robe's pocket, she found the box was still safely tucked away.

Hikari slipped the key under her tunic, hiding it from view, and stepped out of the inn where she had spent the night. As she walked through the ground floor, past the patrons eating breakfast, Hikari wondered which amongst them might be these others, and what they wanted with some funny little box? it didn't even look all that valuable. Just really old. As the sun made it's way to the noonday sky, Hikari felt her inner powers reaching their climax of that day. If she was to take a risk, now was the best time. Time...the ancient demigod shuddered at the word, but stepped to the side of the road, checking in either direction; she was alone, for now. good.

As she examined the box, Hikari saw that it seamed more faded than it had yesterday. It had already looked quite old to begin with, but now it looked more so, almost like it had seen bad weather, instead of being carefully protected like it had looked yesterday. Have I done something wrong? No one has seen the box, let alone touched it. Why is it decaying so? Carefully, Hikari turned the key on the side, and the top opened again to reveal...nothing.

Hikari laughed to herself. Empty, like the promises of a god. But as she looked around, Hikari saw that the box had worked some other form of magic which she had not expected; She was standing in a palace room. the floor was made of deep gray moss, and the walls of living oak branches. Breathing deeply, Hikari could smell the forest around her. It smelled...like home.

Hikari looked around, eyes wide in a combination of hope and despair. If this was home, where was all the color? No, this had the feelings of the Void Beyond Time. Then she saw her; there was a young woman in a white robe, with golden filigree on the seams and back, symbols of light, and family, and peace. The young woman was studying a scroll, preparing for an upcoming speech. The young Hikari's face was wrinkled in dutiful concentration, and no small bit of worry, and the elder Hikari sighed at the sight.

She remembered this day. It had once been a memory of hope, which gave her the strength to march on through the darkest days. But now it was merely a reminder of what she had lost. As the girl studied, there was a bright light from the balcony, and the young Hikari looked up excitedly, her face lighting up in more ways than one.

"Mom! I didn't expect to see you till after the speech today!" The demigod raced past her phantom from the future, rushing to give the arriving goddess a warm hug. The mother and child embraced, and then returned to the bench, where the scroll had been abandoned. Ho oh turned to her child as they sat, her face full of motherly pride.


"That's silly, Hikari! Why wouldn't I come to see my favorite daughter before her big day!" young Hikari's face darkened at this, and her eyes unfocused as she stared into the distance.

"But what if I mess it all up? I'm supposed to be some sort of icon of enlightenment, and hope. But how am I supposed to look inspiring? I mean look at me!" The demigod hopped up from the bench and hald her arms out, looking down at herself. "I mean, I'm barely tall enough to look over the podium! And the robe they made for me was too big, which makes me look even shorter than I already am! And then, when I open my mouth, what if I say the wrong thing? I'll be nothing more than a laughing stock!" The young demigod's shoulders sagged and her head drooped forward as she returned to her mother's embrace on the bench. "Sometimes I wish I were more like Dad. He'd have known just what to say..."

The goddess looked at her child, her lips curled up in a knowing smile. "You're more like your father than you know, Hikari. He may have put up a good face when he sang for The Court, but when it was just me and him, he'd confide in me that he was terrified of messing up. He didn't want to fail his people, and was always worried that one slip up would ruin him forever." young Hikari looked up at her mother, eyes wide. "No way! Dad was never scared of anything!"

The goddess laughed at her daughter's exclamation, and leaned in like she was telling a secret. "He was. But I'll tell you what I told him:" At this point, the elder phantom Hikari spoke the words she knew by heart, her voice harmonizing with her mother's. "You'll find a way. You always do. But even if you didn't, I'd be there for you. If ever you find yourself trapped with no way out, just call my name and I'll be there. I promise." The words of the goddess were reassuring, and the look on the younger Hikari showed they had worked. But the words of the elder Hikari were spoken with venom, their biting tone revealing a caustic hate hidden deep within the woman's heart.

The world faded to black, then, and Hikari found herself standing in the middle of the road, the box still in her hands. But now it was no longer empty...

[Justice]

After finding the mirror inside the box, Justice wonders why anyone would chase after that poor little girl over something so trivial. Sure, looking glasses are expensive, but there's no reason anyone should scare a girl out of her mind, just for the sake of retrieving an item. Justice lay the box down beside him as he lulls off to sleep, hoping his day wouldn't be interrupted tomorrow.

As morning takes it's place in the stance of night, Justice awakens to look at his box right beside him. It appears just as it did before, so he goes on his way, getting ready to leave. After Justice finishes washing up, he goes out into the city. He wonders what this feeling is, it's almost as if he's being followed, yet there is nothing following him, he's sure of this. Throughout the day, Justice ponders this strange feeling, almost feeling paranoid about it.

As the day goes by, Justice wonders if perhaps this feeling is what that poor little girl had felt just a sun rise ago. He wonders if perhaps the feeling he is now feeling is a result of the box itself, causing negative emotions or weak hallucinations as a curse for owning it. Justice decides to leave these thoughts alone for now, considering he can make nothing of it until he returns home to thoroughly examine the box.

After finishing his errands, Justice makes his way back to the Inn. Upon entering his room, the sight he sees almost makes Justice smile. Finally, his thoughts are verified, this box is not a normal one.

Justice walks over to the box and opens it, just as he had before, however, this time, the box's plainness makes the entire ordeal all that much more intriguing. Justice inwardly hopes that he finds something other than an object inside, he wishes to know how this box works.

When he looks in the box to find nothing, Justice is almost upset, he examins each part of the box, looking for any signs of tampering, or even secret compartments, however, nothing can he found. Justice decides to put the box down to think for a moment, and, when he does, his entire being sees to have shifted.

Looking around, Justice quickly recognizes his surroundings. This place, is the forest where he obtained his mission of protection. Justice notices he is not in true control of his actions, merely that he can see and hear what is happening. Soon after, it becomes clear to Justice that he is in the midst of one of his own memories.

Justice, in memory anyway, walks about, almost aimlessly for a while before something appears to him. There, floating before him, is Celebi, the creature that started him on his journey. Celebi is cloaked in a bright light, so Justice cannot actually see her body, but after further study and hindsight, Justice realized who it was he encountered that day.

In her arms is a little, fragile egg. This egg is pure white, with purple and pink glowing triangles coloring it. Justice remembers this day well, and he expects what is about to happen. The light approaches Justice slowly as he stands in awe, completely stuck by his first true encounter with the supernatural. He watches as the egg is placed gently into his arms, and as he feels power from the light grasp onto his soul. All of this, followed by a vision, one that emphasizes the importance of protecting the egg in his arm, overwhelms Justice as the sprite like deity flies away, not to be seen by his eyes again.

Justice snaps out of his memory quickly, as if awakening from a nightmare. In contrast, however, Justice is glad he relived that memory, as it rekindles his wish to care for and protect the egg he has spent so much time with.

Justice looks around him, he is now back in his room in the Inn. Justice wonders what all of that was, and for what reason all of that was brought on, by the box that now lays in his hands..

[Stryker]

Today, brand new day, but something nudged insistently in Stryker's mind. That girl. What if she what she said was true? What if there are evil things are real? he thought on his nest. Nightmares had haunted him, and Stryker felt the need to check inside his box again. Wonder what could be inside? He thought, his spirits lifting as he sifted through the nesting to revel the box. It looked older, almost about to break. What happened? he thought as he searched inside. Nothing, only emptiness. Sighing, he set it back down. I was sure it might have had something inside.... he thought disheartened. Putting down the box, he realized that he was somewhere else. A colorless world, though very familiar to him. This was that time.... He thought, a feeling of nostalgia filled him. Looking around, he spotted his baby self fishing with his mother for a Magikarp. This was the first day I caught myself my very own Magikarp, all by myself. It was so fun... he thought, a happy tear forming in his eye. I wish I could stay there way back when, to enjoy the happy moments. He thought, watching his child self share his food. Closing his eyes in joy, he sighed. I miss them all dearly, even if I hadn't became friends with them. He thought opening his eyes once again, joy filling and calming his heart. He looked back in the box, finding out that is wasn't as empty and void anymore, as if the happy memory tugged it back.

[Sir Geoffrey]

Geoffrey looks down at the object he has obtained. A.. journal? He thinks as he sets the box aside. Geoffrey wonders why anyone would ever chase after anyone over something as inexpensive as a journal.

Geoffrey sets both the box and the journal aside as he goes to bed. Upon waking up, Geoffrey realizes he is late for his shift in the kitchen. Quickly, Geoffrey jumps out of bed and cleans up a bit before rushing down to the royal food court. All day Geoffrey works, all day he stuggles to keep his orders ready for each royal who might need it, all day he tries to do his best to forget about the box, and all day, Geoffrey fails.


Geoffrey basically succeded in preparing the orders of the day, however, less sucfessful was he at not worrying. All day Geoffrey couldn't stop worrying about the box and it's safety, and, even moreso was his fear that the people he was serving were actually the "them" the little girl spoke of.

Geoffrey rushes back to his quarters after finally finishing his shift. Upon arriving, he hastily shuts and locks the door, acting like a nervous wreck. Geoffrey walks over to the box, only to notice the entire appearance of the box has change. Magic? Geoffrey thinks as he quickly opens the box once again, peering inside.

After several minutes of freaking out because whatever might have been in the box was gone, Geoffrey quickly regains his composure as he notices his shift in reality. Looking around, Geoffrey realizes that he is in the royal library, a place Geoffrey rarely goes anymore. Soon after this, he realizes that he is obviously in a memory, or at least he is remembering one. This is obvious because of the fact the his previous master is smiling at him with a book in his hand.

Geoffrey remembers this memory for the first time in quite a while. He is happy when he sees Justice open the book.

"See Geoffrey, I told you I'd make something out of your cooking. This book is the first edition of the "Geoffrey Lovelace Recipe Book". I collected all the recipes you've ever made and compiled them in this for you. I'm personally endorsing it too, so you'll get quire a bit of publicity from it considering I published it in your name."

Even though Geoffrey can't really feel anything through his memories, he remembers very well how red his face was, and how hot he became. Geoffrey feels the intense embarrassment and honor all over again as Justice hands the book the him. As Geoffrey looks through the book, Geoffrey thinks his vision blurs for a moment because of a tear. Geoffrey looks up at Justice who said something inaudible about Geoffrey's redness before chuckling.

For whatever reason, the admiration Geoffrey feels toward his possibly dead master is revives once again as he remembers the last bit of this memory.

"Thank... thank.. thank you lord Justice... you are so.. so kind.. Thank you so much. It's an honor to serve you as I do! Geoffrey says with a long forgotten smile on his face.

After the last word is spoken, Geoffrey jolts out of his memory and back into the real world. He looks down at the box in his hand. Thank you… Geoffrey thinks, unsure of who, or what, he is thanking.

[Violet Grimshaw]

Looking at the sandals that she grabbed out of the box, Violette wonders if maybe there is something special about them that makes them valuable. She doesn't see anything that strikes out at her, but looks could very easily be deceiving. Knowing that there is a possibility that the "them" the girl spoke of are real, Violette puts the box underneath her bed as she leaves for her duties.

While in the training grounds, Violette feels a strange sensation as she helps several new recruits learn how to wield a scythe. The sensation is one of betrayal, as if the people around her are not to be trusted. What AM I thinking? These guys are just like me, I have no reason not to trust them

Then, it dawns on Violette the possible origin or her untrusting feelings. She thinks of what the little girl spoke of, and how she said anyone could be one of "them". All of a sudden, Violette doesn't know exactly who to trust. She informs her students that she must be off because of an urgent matter and she is relieved when she sees that they don't follow.

Entering her room, Violette grabs the box from under her bed and notices the drastic change that has occurred in it. She looks inside, and, after seeing that there is nothing there, she throws the box on her bed in frustration. Just as the box hits the matress, Violette sees something that her amnesia had affected after her powers were gained.

Here, standing a foot shorter than her present self is a little girl who still wears her hair in pigtails. In the mirror, Violette examines... herself. This girl she is looking at, is merely a younger version of herself. A.. memory? Geoffrey did say I had a long life before Justice..

Through the door slams a tall man with black hair who is shouting so loud that his voice is completely unrecognizable as words. The shock caused by the loud entrance causes Violette to jump. The man looks at Violette and begins shouting as he holds up a doll. Violette's doll. Apparently, the boy before her is her own brother, who is incredibly upset about finding the doll in his room.

What is going on.. I don't have any brother, Geoffrey said so... Then, Violette tries to explain herself, saying that she forgot that it was where he found it. Violette's brother seems far too upset to have just found a doll. Then, Violette sees it, in his hand, or, more specifically, on his hand, is an orangish red residue that the young Violette wouldn't have recognized. The Violette viewing the memory, however, knows very well what that colorful residue is. Mushroom Powder.

Now that it becomes clear to Violette that her brother was under the influence of some sort of mushroom, it becomes easy to understand why his actions are so drastic. However, now, Violette's brother isn't just shouting, he is rampaging throughout her room, tossing toys and furniture across the room in a fit of rage. It hurts Violette to watch, even though she doesn't even remember the objects being ruined as her own.

Then, the real horror begins. The boy grabs onto Violette by her neck and pushes her up against the wall as screams are muffled by the boy's powder covered fingers. Violette can feel the pain and emotion building up in her former self's heart as she feels the life slowly seep from her body.

Then, Cherry jumps up at the boy, at this time, Cherry is still unevolved. While attached to his face, Cherry releases a stunspore to immobilize him. Cherry runs to Violette as the purple haired girl catches her breath. Then, the young girl grabs the lanturn that is now on the floor, burnt out because of the impact. She takes the lamp, and beats her brother with it in what seems to be an uncontrollable fit of overpowering rage. Before the end result can be seen, Violette is sucked out of her memory.

Now Violette sits on her bed, tears streaming down her face as she looks at the box that seemed have caused the old memories to resurface. Why...why did I.. and why can't I.. what's.. what's wrong with me!!

Violette continues crying for a while as she absentmindedly takes the top on and off of the box, her mind ever wandering back to the memory that should have stayed hidden.

[Claire De'Lune]

Claire looks at the collar which was held in the box she obtained from the little girl. How pretty! Claire thinks as she continues to walk slowly alpng through the forest. No wonder someone was chasing that poor little girl, this thing is gorgeous! I can't wait to wear it! Claire thinks, not realizing the object is not for humans..

Claire continues walking along, through the woods, despite there being no trail for her to follow. Eventually, after hours and hours of walking, Claire makes it to the Temple. Upon entering the temple, she wonders if maybe the "them" the girl was speaking of had followed her. Haha! Finders Keepers loser weepers! Claire thinks as she imagines the look on their face if they found out she has their precious collar.

A smile covers Claire's face as she imagines the "them" giving up and partying with her. Ah.. that would be so cool! Claire goes and takes a shower and then puts on yet another ball room dress. When she returns from her change and shower, it has been several hours. She looks at the box from which her collar originated, and the entire look of the box has changed.

Well.. what happened to the poor box!? Now it's all ugly and stuff. Claire thinks as she opens it to look inside to see if something had happened to the inner parts of it.

When she looks back up from the box, Claire sees streamers and confetti flying everywhere, she hears people shouting from every direction, and she hears music playing in the distance. One of my parties? Already? Claire thinks as she processes all of the colors and sounds surrounding her. Claire's eyes widen as she realizes that she is now reliving her celebration of becoming the First Maiden.

The segment she is currently in, in her memory that is, is the segment after the previous maiden's memorial service. Claire watches as the people cheer her on, and she feels the responsibility and power being placed upon her all over again.

That was such a fun day.. Claire thinks as the ceremonies end. As the memory fades, Claire feels a renewed sense of happiness and responsibility caused by the remembrance of her first day, as the First Maiden, the Maiden of Light.

She looks down at the box in her hand as the temple comes back into her view. Maybe.. the "them".. are actually.. after this.. Well, it was a present to me, so they can't take it, they'd have to deal with me first. Claire boldy thinks as she falls over on her face after tripping on her dress..

The Normal day; Day Three

Now that you know the "Them" are called Ghosts, you begin to wonder, what exactly is this box? And what is it really for? Who is this Alyssandra lady. How do I use my power against them? How does the gem work? You have lots of questions that fly through your head. Yet still you have yet to come across a single one of these "Ghosts." Not to mention that the gem isn't doing anything, nor are you feeling any different. However, you still haven't decided if this was real yet. Some strange things have happened, but still... Who would go after a box that only leaves you with strange stuff and trivial questions?

That night, however, your nightmares get worse. Your mind now imagining what the Ghosts really look like. Unsure of what they can really do your mind wanders and your imagination goes wild. You wake up feeling unsettled the next day. You look at the box and see that nothing has changed about it. Ignoring it for now you leave the safety of your room to get your mind off everything that has happened. You go throughout your day feeling even more anxious then the day before. Glancing at each person around you, wondering if they could be the one to betray you.

While your anxiety is enough to freak you out a little bit, it is certain that its not enough to scare you into doing anything stupid. You are able to control yourself. Throughout the day however, your anxiety begins to vanish and you almost forget about the box altogether. Until the end of the day when you go back into your room and find the box sitting on your bed. You were quite sure you hadn't put it there before. And this time it was about the size of a small cat. It was quite simple this time. It looked to be made out of a light smooth metal with strange markings on it that look like different symbols of the different deities and gods around.

Tell me, what color the metal box is. Can be any color you think of, but one color only.

Nix found herself starting awake and she looked down at her arms to see scratches and bruises one her arms, not again. She had been clawing at herself in her sleep in fear of whatever it was that kept mentally chasing her, this was her third time only tonight waking up like this. She sighed quietly and turned to see shadow mewing in her sleep beside her, she seemed as worried as nix was but for her sister. She turned to look to the red gemed necklace they was laying beside her pillow, it had been in the box which she had come home to open after yesterdays horrible dream. Well she was sure it was a dream, she must have passed out and seen something. She reached a hand out and ran her fingers over the gem before she shook her head, the note that came with it warned her that she was in danger and needed this to keep her safe but she didnt like it. This seemed so strange! She pushed herself on to her feet and pushed open her door, the faint light of the rising sun poked in though the tiny crack and nix rolled her eyes. She needed to go somewhere.

She pulled on her cloak over her nightgown and wandered out of her tiny home with bare feet and worried thoughts, she sighed again as she walked up the street in the early morning hours. A few people passed her and she could feel the odd looks falling on her but her mind worried if that was her looks or the fact she still had the gloves on her hands and now gripped the gem in her fingers, the chain hanging from her fist. She really didnt like this, she felt so on edge. She rolled her eyes and then turned and started home, she didnt want to walk around and think everyone was out to get her. She pushed open her door to find shadow still asleep, the eevee tail resting against the box. Wait, what? The box seemed to have changed again! She rushed forwards and dropped to her knees beside it, it was metal now and seemed to be coated or something. There were markings all over it and the color was a pale purple which she was even more confused over, what had she gotten herself in to?

Kari opened the odd box to reveal a shiny stone wrapped in a gold chain, now that was something. She liked the dagger she had gotten for its simple beauty and the simple skill she could use with it but this was something else, it really did look good. She pulled it out of its wrappings and fixed it around her neck before the paper caught her eye, she picked it up in her hand and read it before she rolled her eyes. Now really, what was this? She felt firmly, well, silly. She was sure someone was sneaking things in this box when she wasnt looking! Whatever, she was going home where no one but her could be around this thing and she was going to watch it.

And so she did. She went home, placed the box on a windowsill and sat and watched it, though falling alseep also followed this even though she hadnt meant for that. She awoke with sweat dripping down her face and missa leaned close against her side, the pokemons eyes concerned for her partner. These dreams, they were so worrying. Kari didnt like anyone anyway but thinking that everyone was out to cause her pain was another step up from that, she turned to see missa now staring at the box. Her eyes were trained on it like it was going to attack her, something kari just didnt want that right now. She forced hersekf up and pushed the door open and stood outside, she needed to clear her head. The cold air washed through her and she took a deep breath, now she couldnt stop looking at people and thinking they were coming for her. This was making her feel worse. She turned away from the street and walked back in to her home and found missa hissing at the box, now bigger and changed back to its orginal messy brown color. Though it seemed to be metal and covered in some sort of runes or carvings, she didnt know anymore. She was staring to think she could just throw the thing in a river of into a house and let someone else worry about the damned thing

Odette had went to sleep that night feeling completely unsettled and uncertain, who was coming? how were they coming? What will happen? What was this thing that gave her items? Should she get rid of it? Should she give it to the Queen? Or was the Queen on of the people she was warned about? Wait what if the girl was actually one of the villains and this was all a trick. Nightmares of mixed things seemed to pour out her, nothing but confusion and lost hope seem to swim all around. This swan seemed to be losing her grip on reality, what was there more to try and fight for? What was there to do?

Odette that morning felt her heart explode as she dared to open the box once more, maybe there was a hint or something? Anything? Maybe there was something that is made just for her? Though something unexpected happened, the box looked as if it suddenly aged.. What? What? what was this, Odette felt confusion and sadness overwhelm her, she broke it... She had let the one who trusted her with this item down... What should she do?

She felt the fear grow inside of her, as she began to think of ways to repair the box... she didn't know what to do.. She had to walk... had to do something, anything.... She set the box down, but when she did everything seemed to shift, what was this?

Everything around her began to turn black and grey... What what? What's happening.. Gradually the room crumbled away and it seemed blackness turned suddenly...

Almost as if the world had fell, a duck stood where a once an odette had stood. The duck was about the size of the box.... The duck looked around as her word suddenly shrunk and crumbles. She did not understand anything of what was going on.... She felt her heart quicken as two figures suddenly appeared... These figures.. Looked just like her, eyes closed... What the? On wore the ballet outfit of red, another ballet outfit of black. Suddenly they began to dance a ballae around the small pathetic duck. What was going on... She felt so small, she did not understand anything at all.. What was going on... The Two that danced seemed to change rhythm from gracefulness to that of speed and poison. Almost coming a few times into the area where the duck and box was located.... As the two dancers danced more and more intensely they both suddenly stopped in a sort of v form of hand touching hand. Gradually they parted their hands to show what looked to be another face of odette but on wearing white. This odette had her eyes closed as well, but she bowed down to the duck... Then with a gentle touch she touched the duck's forehead, not rough, but rough enough to make the duck fall too the ground. The three white, red, and black dressed odettes smiled and suddenly as if magic disappear. Laughter and whispers filled the air. "Hide little ducky, hide little ducky... This is only the beginning... Hide little ducky hide little ducky.. A swan nevermore... hide little ducky, hide littly ducky. You will soon be no more...." This song seemed to fill the air... A horrible song, it sounded like a taunt.. a horrible taunt.. The duck odette felt her heart quicken, she did not understand any of this.. She just wanted to run and hide... She was so confused.... She felt so lose.. Almost as if her feelings where influencing the world.. The world darken.... Everything filled with hatred, pain, and lies....

Odette felt suddenly back to this world... She opened her eyes to see her hand inside the box.. What's this? She felt confused.. How was her hand in the box? What happened? She felt suddenly cold... What just happened... Was she truly a duck? Tears began to fall as the confusion grew in her heart. She did not understand anything, why was this thing given to her? What was happening?

It seemed everything was getting worst... The nightmares.. Why so many nightmares? She just kept hearing the song playing over and over again.. She wanted to crumble and die... To just fade away... She felt this sadness just so consuming.. Yet why won't it go away? Why doesn't she just fade?

She had spent the whole day just thinking... About the person who sent the box.. Just... Who where these things.. What was going on? She felt as if everyone was in on it... On her bad dreams, on the box... Everything. Why why? Why?

Almost as if her wish had came true.. She gradually began to vanish into herself... What she did not realize that odile had taken over to repair the damage done... Odile had taken control of the situation... She looked around the room, all the memories flooding into her.. "She had discovered ourselves history... The thing that had caused her split... Funny, causing her so much pain she wishes to fade away.... What to do wit these "ghosts".... " Odile had decided it was time to relax a little.. See the queen, focus on more important things... Eventually as time came and went she actually temporarily forgotten about the box.. That was till she went back to their shared room... A pure black box... of the darkest of things... Was what sat there.. With odd markings and who knows what.. "Oh dear, Alyssandra, what have you done to our world?" Was all she could say before going to the box and seeing what might be inside.

Erra was just unable to sleep... She had so much to stress.. Everyone seemed so happy in their puddle of lies.. This box.. this trick.. just.. horrible.. Why did Cresselia have to do this to her? What was Cresselia's goal in all this? Was it enough that all she ever did was lie to others? Get sick when she used her powers? and who knows what else...Annoyed by this box Erra picked it up and looked around... It looked extremely old all of a sudden. "Hahaha! Not funny Cresselia! " course she lied... She can't even make a joke without lying... Life sucks, incredibly sucks.. She is trapped on this island and can't even make stupid jokes.

Setting the box down it seemed everything shifted... "Seriously! Cresselia! Keep it going! Damn it!" She hated this so freaking much.... The world suddenly shifted to a happier time.. She was with her parents.. A mere 2 year old little girl... She looked around and saw that everyone around were happy and free... Gardens grew everywhere... What was this? This perfect place.... She found tears falling as the joy all around flowed into her... "Why Cresselia... Why love me so?" She reached out toward these people... This family.. her family.. To only have everything go away... her wake up with her hand in the box...And something in the box... A note and a gem.. A gem... She read the note.. "Seriously Cresselia, I am totally believing all of this! Keep this up" Goddarnnabit.. Ugh... I hate her so much right now.... Why must this happen to me? No.. no.. I will not play along.. I will put this box down and forget all about it... But of course... She could not forget....

She worried about it so much it actually made her sick... She just stayed away from people as usual.. But she felt as if everyone was in on it... It was all a lie.. She told herself over and over.. But she could not even believe herself.. How could a lie influence her this much? She soon forgot about everything about the gift... Actually had a perfect normal ignoring everyone day.

That was until she came to her room at the temple.. A small metal box... on her bed... What the? The color.... Well it was silver with lots of different odd God markings... "Cresselia for a great truth.. You have certainly not out done yourself.... This is probably the worst you have pulled before... Even got me not believing it.." I really need to just stop talking.. This is just awful... I urgh... Uh.. whatever... Just going to look into the box and move on..

Natu stuffed the box into a a secret area within her and her husband's secret cave. She laughed at such an awesome magical toy. She woke up that next morning got the box and opened it.. Looked at it, so old.. how lame. She threw it toward the secret stash of treasure.. Course everything changed when she threw the box behind her... She was thrown into a memory... A happy memory, figures with this girl, that and Spade said to make it happy. She actually remembered when she met her first real friend... She was actually lost.. And no memories... and was in the middle of nowhere... That was when he came up to her and offered help... Gave her a safe home, a bed, and food. The treasure all around was merely decoration for what was important.. Was their family... She found herself in love with the young man...

She awoke to find the box suddenly in her hands and her hand... What the? Was all she could think before hugging the box... "Alyssandra... I don't know who you are.. But thank you."

Day Three

She ignored the note... Who would betray her? She trusted nobody but Andrew anyway, who cares. She practically through the note in the trash.. She kept her mind open to those that would attack her, but in reality she was untouchable. Nobody love her like Andrew, and besides everyone was either a slave or a monster slave holder. Nobody around there cared for such petty things as other universes and ruling the world. She unlike most enjoyed the day not worry a darn thing, course deep down she kept her eyes open... Deep down.... Well till she went clothes stealing.. I mean shopping.

After the long day of trying on new outfits and screwing around... She returned to the secret cave and saw the box.. now metallic on her bed. It was the color of Sand.. Golden grainy Sand.

[Hikari]

Hikari lifted the gem from the box carefully, examining it's detail. It was quite beautiful. She wondered if perhaps this was the reason They sought it. Cautiously setting it on her lap, Hikari pulled out the note and read it. How strange...where was she to try a key out if she didn't know what it went to? And the gem would let her 'feel' the ghosts? well that would make finding them much easier...if she wanted to find these ghost things...

The next day, Hikari continued down the road, her mind full of questions. The gem, like the key, was hidden under her tunic, which itself was under her cloak, but she was still nervous whenever she passed others traveling along the way. Why am I so nervous? I haven't been this invested in something since I made it back to this world... The day proved uneventful, however, and Hikari began to calm herself, remembering that she had seen no actual proof that these 'Ghosts' exist in the first place. The gem certainly hadn't done anything this Alyssandra had mentioned. All she knew is that the box had a habit of changing shape and producing ornate trinkets.

As Hikari prepared to sleep in the latest inn on the road, she found the box sitting on the bed. "How did you get there?" Hikari checked her pockets, and found that the box was not where she had kept it throughout the day. "You're a sly one, aren't you..." Hikari dropped to her knees and leaned on the bed, her eyes now level with the once again changed box.

It was now much larger, and probably wouldn't fit in her pocket anymore. that would be a problem. But it was also no longer wooden. Instead it was made of gold. Hikari was cautious as she turned the key in the side of the box for a third time, wondering what would happen this time...
