Blessed by the God Mew, Andrew possesses the raw, unbridled power of the Spirit of the Desert. This power reveals itself in twofold: Andrew's powers, and The Spirit's powers. On a normal day, Andrew can call upon the Breath of the Desert to kick up a sandstorm, or to blast someone nearby with sand. He can create a layer of spirit energy around his hands and feet, which he can use as a weapon by punching someone, and allowing the spirit energy to violently launch the target away from him, causing his blows to be much more deadly. This is made more evident by the way they strike strait to a person's Inner spirit, normally protected by the body. Andrew's body has been enhanced by the innundation of spirit energy in him, and his abilities are beyond normal human abilities.
However, if someone knocks Andrew unconscious, or drives him to rage, the Spirit of the Desert takes over. In this state, all his normal abilities are above and beyond his above-average limits. He becomes even more dangerous, however, because of his new abilities: The Spirit, when in the Desert Province, can turn any object nearby into sand, instantly destroying it, or them. Additionally, The Spirit can create a ball of pure spirit energy and launch it at a foe, ripping their soul to shreds, even as it slams into their physical body.
While his abilities are weakened when he leaves the desert, The Spirit resides within him, and his spirit powers remain, even if the sand powers do not.
The Mirror Room
xx Face Claim
Kyrie of Sands of Destructionxx Appearance
Normally, Andrew is a blonde man who is just shy of six foot. He is lean, but doesn't look particularly fit, due to the fact that his strength comes from his Spirit, and not his actual muscles. His clothes are lightweight, but dark colored. Andrew likes the comfort of his clothes, and doesn't mind how hot they are because The Spirit of the Desert protects him from the heat. It also allows him to hide amongst sand like camouflage, so their color doesn't matter. When the Spirit of the Desert takes over, his hair gains a hint of pink to it, and he begins to glow as the spirit energy within him begans to expand and flow like quicksand. The Spirit of the Desert usually doesn't have any facial expressions at all, and when it does speak, it does so in a flat, bored tone of voice: it's been around for a very long time, and life just isn't worth living anymore.
Open and Public
xx Personality
When left to his own devices, Andrew is lighthearted and kind. He steals for a living, and kinda feels bad about it, but he always makes a point of helping out those who he thinks are in worst straits than him. This gives his crew a surprisingly good reputation for thieves, and the local authorities, such that exist, haven't bothered hunting them down because the other, less organized thieves tend to do more harm.Andrew is also somewhat of a klutz when it comes to people. He tends to miss social clues that someone likes him, or dislikes him, and gets himself into all kinds of trouble when he misjudges how a local merchant feels about his 'borrowing' an apple.
When someone brings Andrew to true hate, which is almost impossible due to his laid-back nature, or he is knocked out, which is easier, although still hard because of his super-human abilities, The Spirit of The Desert reveals itself, and takes over his body. The Spirit of the Desert does not care about humanity, or their refuse, and believes that this world has been around long enough. The Spirit decided several decades back that it was time to bring about the apokalypse, and will attempt to turn the entire world to sand if it gets a chance.
The only thing standing between the world and a sandy grave is Andrew's nice nature, which has infected the soul of The Spirit. Instead of destroying the world, it merely destroys a bit at a time, usually only the immedate surroundings of Andrew whenever he loses control. Taking its time in pity of the reckless humans who have caused such sadness and destruction throughout it's home.
The Secret Side of Me

Andrew doesn't like telling people he has the Spirit of the Desert inside him, and especially doesn't want anyone to know it wants to bring about the apocalypse: it's kind of a downer, and he doesn't want people to worry about something they can't stop.xx Greatest Fear
That The Spirit will fulfill its promise and turn the entire world into one giant empty desertxx Greatest Desire
To convince the Spirit of the Desert to live at peace with humanity and pokemon. Also, he's a big fan of world peace.Out of This World

xx History
Andrew was born in the desert kingdom to a normal family. He was pretty young still when the kingdom was destroyed by the invading Olivae kingdom. His family was in pretty bad straits, and he got seperated from them in the chaos that followed.Andrew, still going by Anwar at this point in his life, began living in the slums, learning from the school of hard knocks. He began to steal for a living. It was a sad state of affairs, but Anwar didn't let it get him down, and he kept trying to keep a good face, and help people who needed it.
Eventually Anwar came across a group of thieves who worked together. They called themselves the Forty Thieves, because of their number. Anwar thought it was so cool that they were thieves but still worked together and trusted each other, like friends. Anwar asked the group if he could join, and they simply laughed at him. He laughed too, but it didn't help. They told him only if he could find his way inside their base all on his own. They didn't even tell him where it was, but Anwar was determined to prove himself useful.
After tracking one of the member's for the better part of a month, he tracked their base down to a small cave that couldn't possibly hide all forty of them. So he kept watching, stealing from their packs when they made camps out in the sands, until one day he came across a man and a slave travelling through the desert towards town.
Anwar decided to help them, because they didn't even have a pack, or rations or anything. Anwar aproached the pair and asked them what they were doing so far from civilization without any supplies.
The man explained that he was taking the slave to town where he was to meet the scoundrel's master so that he could get rid of the man. Anwar looked at the slave, who was angry and violent and in general not nice, but Anwar didn't see why he had to be in a slave.
Anwar asked the man why he didn't just release the man. He wanted to be rid of him, so why not let him go. The slave obviously didn't want to be there. The man gave him a funny look, and said.
"Are you willing to be his caretaker? Until death take you beyond this blasted world and to the next? Will you ensure this fool doesn't harm anyone? It won't be an easy task, I assure you." The man had a funny twinkle in his eye, but Anwar was more concerned about the man in chains.
"Yes, I will. Or at least I'll try my best!" And before Anwar could blink, the man and the slave had vanished into thin air, and Anwar could feel another entity in his mind. The slave, it turned out, had been the Spirit of the Desert, who had been sealed in the form of a man. But now Anwar was responsible for keeping the morose being in check.
When he returned to the cave, the Spirit pointed out he'd been around since the cave had been built, and knew the password to open the door, if Anwar would let him in control to speak. Anwar, still believing in the best in people, agreed. When Anwar next regained control, all of the forty thieves had been killed and half their treasure had been turned to sand. And Anwar remembered doing it. The guilt almost tore him to pieces, but he decided to make it up by using his new power to help people.
When he returned to town, he began recruiting for the forty thieves under the name Andrew, claiming to be it's last member, and that he needed to restock after a heist gone bad. At first most thieves he came across knew better, but after he began helping people word got around, until young girls his age started to show up, asking to join. He was happy to have help in helping people, and having someone to talk to. It wasn't long before he had the beginnings of a crew, and the real work began...
