Geoffrey begins walking when everyone agrees. He thinks about what Altair said, thinking about the fact that he has little money at all in his bag. Great..Why couldn't I have died on payday? Geoffrey thinks, as he looks to Faith, who did seem a bit quiet.
I'm sorry, I'm just watching the surroundings. All of these creatures..it is hard, even with my abilities, to watch them all Faith "says" as she weakens her psychic range.
Geoffrey wishes to tell Faith that she doesn't need to do that, but before he has the chance, he notices the shop, and everything within it. Geoffrey looks to the man, and is intimidated rather quickly. Regardless, he begins speaking, trying to speak loud enough to be heard.
"Umm..hello? Do..do you have any weapons? I'm sorry to say we don't have much to pay with, but..I suppose we could trade if we needed to." Geoffrey says, looking at everyone, wondering what they think of the situation.

Violette quietly follows the group, wondering what they could pay with after hearing Altair's and Stryker's comment. "Maybe..we could trade. I'm sure some of the stuff we have is valuable." She says, watching Geoffrey nod to the idea before using it as he speaks to the burly blacksmith.
On the ride over, Cherry secretly braids Stryker's hair as she speaks. "Okay!! Cherry will be good! Cherry promises!" she shouts as she completely forgets the request for quiet.
Violette accidentally breaks something as she walks into the shop, her wings looking very out of place in the possible human filled shop.
The blacksmith turns as Violet rips up the door on her way in, then turns back to his forge, hammering out some tool. "You better be able to cover that, lass. Yes sir, I trade. You're one of those people with the fancy buttons, aren't you? I know a traveling merchant who loves those things, and will buy them from me for a good price. I can't leave this pick head right now, so if you'll wait." The man continued to work for half an hour, hammering at the glowing metal till it took the shape of a pickaxe head.
When he's done, he turns and looks to the Players, if they waited this whole time. "Sorry for the weight, now let's see what you have. Before we start, the collector I mentioned who buys those buttons isn't interested in those black ones with the skull motif, so don't even bother with those. seems everyone can get their hands on those things...
In another part of Fraer, in an unmarked tunnel T-intersection, Maine and Evilyn wake up. The sound of a large number of people echoes down the tunnel from two directions, and the third is silent. Standing at one of the loud openings is another Red Cloaked man, and he is actually past the opening and down in the tunnel a couple steps, leaning on one of the walls. The quiet path also has a man in front of it, this one in a black cloak and a red bandana, standing just inside the intersection. The second loud path has no one standing around it. Strewn throughout the tunnel more Noise can be seen, this area having wolves and a bunch of porcupines, who are more or less laying all over the place.
Stryker stays outside of the blacksmith shop, keeping an eye out in case the noise decide to stop ignoring them and attack. "You don't need to watch all of them. Seems that if we don't bother them, they won't bother us." he says as he sat down, giving the evil eye to Cherry. "And I told you to not play and be quite on my back." he says poking his nose in her belly. He watches as the human smith hammers the tool head in fascination. Humans can create so much odd objects. he thought, wondering about the boundless abilities of the fire types back at his home. Not caring about weapons, he let his thoughts wander, imagining who would take over his job for the week. There's heracross...And maybe feraligator. They're both strong. And what would happen when I get back? Will I have to fight over to take over? I want to travel alone sometime. Maybe I could get someone to take over for a while. I do like adventuring. he thought, wondering about the legends of far away places with treasures.
Maine awoke with his face on the ground of a three way intersection. He rose to see Sigma and Theta standing there. Maine growled his usual greeting to them. Then he gripped his head as he remembered what had happened.
"Yes agent Maine we are dead, but we can make it out if we understand the rules correctly. Delta has been calculating our chance to win these games and return to the world we once knew as home." Said Sigma in his usual mechanical sounding voice.
"Although be sure not to use Evylin like you did Wash and the others." Came Theta's quite girly voice.
"Yes she will definitely be something of use, to survive Maine." Came Delta who didn't appear but simply explained is observation. Maine nodded not really understanding the AI logic much. He turned to see his 'Partner' Just getting up herself. Maine looked at his radar sensors which allerted him of both the men blocking his other two exits and the creatures blocking his only other path. Maine growled as he turned to Evylin. He wasn't sure if she could see the small AI units so he put them on speaker.
"Good morning Evylin, we must be moving before the day ends." Said Sigma. As he concluded a searing pain Hit mains arms. IT engraved the rules of todays objective ob his armor and 'Skin'. He shrugged it off as if it wasn't there but he slightly saw a bit of displeasure in his partners eyes. Maine stuck out his hand t help her since he needed her for something. When she grabbed his hand Maine lifted her into her hands and looked down the tunnel.
"Throw on my Mark" Delta said as he began calculating the trajectory of the throw.
"I'll guard her with some panels since we can only operate the shields at 58 percent without frying the whole thing." Theta said as she disappeared to make sure she kept the shields stable.
"Mark!" Delta said. Omega joined in to help give Maine the strength to throw the poor girl. The group of five sent her flying with a few yellow panels floating a little bit below her. Maine began running after her until he noticed the quelled spikes of the porcupines. Maine halted next to one.
"Get going you big lug" Came Omega's angry tone. Maine knew well of Omega's temper and didn't hesitate. Maine sprinted towards the creatures and tumbled forward to hit his hands. Using Omega's strength and his own Maine vaulted himself some what over the creatures although he stopped a few feet short of making it out of the tunnel.
"Theta use the shields to make small foot holds. Delta help him calculate for critical angles and mistakes Maine might make. Omega make sure you power up for the final jump." Sigma began barking as Maine thought the plan himself. They had been together for so long they slightly thought the same. That's why Maine wasn't so well off alone. Maine grinned to himself as Sigma appeared before him.
"Are you ready to reunite our little group?" Sigma asked cautiously. Maine nodded as he didn't realize he could talk yet. Within a few moments a small path of yellow hexagons appeared. Maine stepped on one and almost fell at how lightly he felt on the shield. When he had a secure position two more appeared in front of him. Maine continued the slow walk out until he was 32 inches from the exit. That was when Omega forced him to finish with a strong leap that carried him onto his feet next to his partner. That was when Maine decided it was time to look at his objective for the day.
As Evilyn is thrown through the air towards the open path, shield-barriers beneath her to catch her fall and protect her from noise, she reached the edge of the intersection...
...and slams face first into an invisible wall, making a comical "bonk" sound.. If Maine attempts to jump over the noise/wall, then he too will run into the invisible wall. The noise, like the reapers, ignore the two unless specifically provoked.
OOC: sorry to post out of turn, but I figured Evilyn might want to know what happened to her mid-flight trip before she posted.

Violette waits patiently as the man works, not wanting to move all that much in fear of possibly breaking something else..
As she listens to the man speak, Violette thinks about their options. The group has little to sell besides any clothes they are wearing along with their most valuable possessions that the group may or may not be carrying with them. Great..we have nothing..I wonder..That must be it.. Violette thinks before speaking up.
"Guys, the pins he's talking about..when my first partner was about to die from an injury, I saw one of those..but I don't quite remember where it came from..or how it was formed..but maybe that guy knows." Violette says, quieting herself for a response.
"Oh yeah. I forgot!" Cherry says, trying to grab onto Stryker's nose when he nudges her. "Maybe we can play together when this is all over!" Cherry says, her voice almost shreiking when she shouts.

Geoffrey smiles as the man mentions the pins and he grabs his black one, ready to offer it to the man. He looks at the man, patiently waiting for him to finish his work, doing nothing but listen while the time passes by. As the man says that he won't buy the black pins, of course Geoffrey is a bit saddened.
Oh my..what am I going to do? I don't have anything all that valuable..How am I going to help everyone now? Geoffrey says before hearing Violette's suggestion. Violette has an idea. Maybe we could ask the observer. Faith thinks to Geoffrey. That's a good idea. Let's see.. Geoffrey thinks, trying to decide what to do.
Geoffrey looks to the others as he begins to speak. "Okay..I'm going to go back and ask that man where to find the pins..While I'm gone..perhaps the rest of you could try trading with the man..Either way, I'll be cak as soo as possible." Geoffrey says as he quickly runs out of the shop.
Geoffrey makes his way back to the middle shop and runs to the man, not noticing if anyone has entered during the passed time or not. He bows to the man before speaking. "Hello again. I'm- um..terribly sorry to bother you, but..what do you know about the pins? It seems we are in need of them..and I don't even know what they do entirely..could you give me some insight?" Geoffrey says, tring to be as polite as he can.
Faith looks to Stryker as he speaks to her. "Yes...I suppose you are right..none of them look all that threatening..but something else is of concern..It looks like a few of the other players made it through as well. I can't sense them all that well..but they are here. Perhaps you should tell that to the others..It is taking too much energy trying to sense them to speak to the others without Geoffrey's help at the moment."

Evilyn looks at the figure before her as it utters a sound before making an actual greeting. "Good morning?! What's so good about it!? I'm dead and I have no powers! This couldn't possibly be any worse!" She screams as she quickly gets up, examining her surroundings. Ugh..just my luck..I need to kill something befo-- she thinks before being picked up and thrown by the being.
"What on earth do you think your doing! Why you little! I'll ha--" She screams before hitting her head on a barrier of sorts. After falling back down to the ground, she rubs her head and glares at her "partner", regardless of their condition.
"Who on earth do you think you are!? Throwing me like that! What did you think you were acomplishing with that! I should kill you right here and now! I really should!" she screams, her eyes beginning to blaze with anger.
Evilyn restrains herself before looking at her surroundings, trying to figure out how to proceed, trying to prevent herself from utterly ripping her partner to shreds.
Altair turns to follow Geoffrey as he leaves, trying to stick with his partner. As he turns, though, he hands the woman with the purple hair the dagger. "Here, see if that will cover the broken doorframe."
As he runs through the market, Geoffrey passes a couple of teenagers who look very depressed, and who have several of the frog-like noise sitting on their shoulder's and heads, with an unusual number of them crowding around the children's feet.
Once the two Players arrive, the man smiles, grabbing his neck habitually, and noticing Geoffrey's pause as he addressed the man, and misinterpreting his reason to stutter. "Call me Hanaekoma, or Mr H. if you're feeling formal. The pins? Oh, I guess you weren't so lucky the first game. The Noise out there are made of the same stuff as those pins; when you kill them, sometimes they're essence will form into a pin instead of evaporating. it's not very common, but you should get a fair number after you kill a few dozen. Obviously, the more powerful Noise will drop more powerful pins, so choose your opponents wisely."
Maine and Evilyn's surroundings are unchanged and unresponsive, and exploration will show that there is an invisible barrier across the entire entrance to the "empty" path, and the two other paths are similarly guarded, although there are Reapers present, should the Players attempt to talk to them.
"Please, just be quiet for twenty minutes. I promise I'll try to play with you." Stryker said, albeit grudgingly, pulling his muzzle back before the cherrim could grab it firmly. He swiveled his ears as away from the shrieking, following the group. Keeping a close eye on the humans passing by, noticing that a few looked very depressed. "A few more people? How odd. I'll tell the humans, you should relax a bit though, if you need my help, just call." he said, scratching another bothersome itch on his belly. He waits until Geoffrey and Altair return from whatever they were doing. "So what were your lives before this happened?" he asked, curious. "Of course, you don't have to answer if you don't want to. Just a bit curious." he said, pawing the ground. With nothing else to do, he just sat on the ground, patiently waiting for the return of the two male humans. "It appears that there are some other humans that have lived the first day. They appear to be far, if I'm interpreting what Faith had said right." he says to the both of them as they returned.

Evilyn, not waiting for a response from the strange man thing with many different people in him, walks back the other way, rubbing her head, searching for the men in red. It doesn't take long for her to find him, and without even conversing to her partner, who may or may not be following, begins speaking to the man.
"You there. How to we get rid of these barriers? I need to find the person in charge of these games so I can off their head!" she says, her hand carefully holding on to her sword, not wanting anything to happen that could possibly catch her off guard.
She waits for a response while looking for her partner, wondering how she, of all people, got paired with someone so...disgusting.

Violette nods to both Altair and Geoffrey as they both leave, she being the only one left now that is, generally speaking, human. She looks at the man, and speaks. "Can I sell this for anything? Or will this just cover the door? Also, I have several kunai and shuriken I can offer if those are worth anything to you." she says, waiting patiently for a reply.
Cherry quietly waits as Stryker said..for about two minutes. After those pass, Cherry shouts loudly to Stryker in his ear. "HAS IT BEEN TWENTY MINUTES YET?" she asks, jumping onto his head, playing with the longer silkier fur on his face.
Violette responds to Stryker's comment about Faith's observation with a surprised look, but she doesn't want to say anything, allowing Geoffrey and Altair to speak of it.
Post by Sir Geoffrey on Jan 17, 2014 22:30:40 GMT -6
Geoffrey looks at Altair as he notices that he had followed, and he gulps when he hears the source of the pins. great..we have to..kill more of..those.. he thinks, as he looks the observer in the eye. "Thank you si--Mister H. Your help..has been greatly..appreciated.." he says before leaving the shop again.
He looks to Altair, wondering something. "Tell me..how are you following me if you can only see what Faith sees? Are you truly following only by sound alone?" he says, not wishing to be rude.
Just before Geoffrey and Altair enter the shop, Faith speaks to Stryker. Thank you Scyther..You are a kind creature after all..Anyway, I have always been a servant to Geoffrey, and we have worked together since my birth. He used to be an adviser to our old master Justice..but Geoffrey seems to have forgotten all about him..somehow..and now he is a butler..and Violette is a weapons tester and trainer for the queen of the kingdom we are in now. And I don't know about Altair.. she projects to Stryker, trying to keep a conversation going.
Geoffrey listens to what Stryker has to say as he re enters the shop, thinking about the options he has now. He thinks for a bit before speaking, trying to keep a general idea of peace.
"Okay..It seems the pins appear randomly when the creatures are defeated..so I see a few..options..We can either fight the.."monster" noise, and try to retreive weapons to use for the 'game', or we can go searching for the newcomers, and Faith could help lead us to them, or we can try once again to decipher the code on our arms. What do the rest of you think?" Geoffrey says, his voice less sure of itself this time.
The smith looks at the dagger, testing the edge and examining the grip and metal. After several moments, he nods "That'll cover the door, aye. I'll need to look at the kunai and shuriken to judge their worth. What did you want to trade for?" The smith gestures at the wall where an assortment of weapons and tools hang on display. [OOC: barring something crazy, he has just about anything one of the characters would want. Just ask the price in character, and he'll tell you. alternatively, you can bring him pins and he'll tell you how many of each kind to cover the asked for weapon]
the red cloaked reaper turns to Evilyn, his face hidden in shadow, and answered her. "You want past this wall; then defeat these noise!" The reaper threw his arms forward, and the liquid static that comes out of Noise coalesced around his arms and transformed into more of the wolf-like Noise. In between Evilyn and the reaper there are now 2 wolves who growl eagerly at her, though they allow Evilyn the first blow, as noise have been doing since she partnered with Maine.
Altair looked in Geoffrey's direction, grinning half-heartedly. "I've been blind my whole life, Geoffrey. While I'm not very good in combat, I can follow a person through a crowd well enough." After Geoffrey discussed the possible plans, Altair looks towards Faith, before turning away with a weird look on his face, disturbed by the sight of looking into his own eyes. "I suggest we find the other Players. They may have some idea what these strange numbers mean."
The smith looks up as the Players discuss monsters and Players. "What in Dialga's name are you people talking about? Monsters that drop pins? How preposterous. You're grown men and women, you shouldn't be playing children's game!" He shakes his head disapprovingly, before stepping back to his work.
