A short pink haired irl held tightly onto a random guy's arm, the two seemed to be having a good time walking in the middle of the desert going no where. The girl wore a simple red arabian dress and just really seemed to be enjoying herself. "Andrew! I am so glade we get to walk in the middle of no where, as the narrator of my character suggests." said the girl with a tad happy joyish tone, breaking the fourth walla incredibly.
After a few moments she looked away from her hubby and toward the sky. "Andrew... That doesn't look good.. there seems to be a build of sand heading in our direction!! Can you stop it husband with your mighty power? The power of the sand Lord.. Yep sound about right, I think you got this" The sun seemed to shine brightly, the moist air nonexistent, and sand just about everywhere including the underwear.
Andrew tried to pull out of Natu's grip, otherwise enjoying the trip. "Natu! What the heck is a narrator? And this isn't the middle of nowhere! The old city is just over those dunes!" Andrew pointed behind them, towards the dunes in question. He looked out across the horizon, and felt as much as saw the sandstorm in the distance. Not now! I was actually having a relaxed day for once!
Andrew stopped walking as Natu began speaking. "Natu! I'm not your husband, so stop calling me that! And that spirit trapped inside me isn't a Lord, he's something much nastier than some lord!" None-the-less, Andrew felt his inner reserve of spirit energy rising as he prepared to stop the storm. It was a big one, and was travelling really fast, but he wasn't going to let that scare him off. He was going to have a good day, today, even if he had to rip half the desert apart to do it! Wait, what? Since when do I rip deserts open? What's wrong with me? Andrew didn't have time to finish the thought, because that's when the storm hit.
The sandstorm seemed to have been coming and in fast.. She quickly jumped onto Andrew and held on to his arm as tightly as possible. She closed her eyes as the wind blew and hit hard in their direction. The sand soon followed attacking them with sharp edges. The sandstorm hit hard.. sand absolutely attacked everywhere.. natu was afraid of just opening her mouth. She had no idea if Andrew was slowing it down.. or if that was the full impact.. She didn't even know if she and Andrew were on the ground, flying, falling, or anything.. She just felt her whole body shiver a tad from fear. They were going to die.. They were going to die.. At least they would die together.. At least they will be husband and wife forever... They.. wait.. it stopped.. damn... her story narrative has to stop... "Is it safe to open my eyes?" she asked all innocently, a little disappointed she didn't go on a large adventure to find her love...
Andrew felt the wave of sand hit him like a wall, but he was ready for it and leaned into the wind. Next to him, Natu gripped him like it was the end of the world, although she did that every time she grabbed him, so that wasn't saying a whole lot. This storm was pretty bad, and as he felt his inner spirit pulling the storm down into the sand, holding the wind itself within it's grasp. He felt her shivering next to him. She was terrified.
Andrew dug deeper, and pushed his spiritual energy outwards, commanding the sands to stop where they were. The storm did it's best to ignore him, but the Spirit of the Desert was it's master, and he was the Spirit's master. At least right now... The sands began to slow, until they finally stopped, floating around them like that weather he had heard about from Olivae travelers. what did they call it? Mist? Whatever it was, now that it wasn't trying to shave his face off one speck at a time, it was actually rather pretty. At his side, Natu asked if it was safe to look around. Andrew smiled down at her, glad she was ok enough to ask.
"Yeah, it's safe to open them. In fact, you better get a look while you can. This isn't something you see often..." Andrew motioned with his hand at the still cloud of sand around them, the surreal landscape made from a storm frozen in space. Andrew didn't even notice the unearthed structures hidden behind the clouds of sand, although they were just barely visible.

In the ruins which were revealed by the sandstorm, stood a man in his late forties, his brown hair looking like he'd cut it with a hunting knife, and his day-and-a-half beard looking like he shaved with the same. His clothes are dirty browns, made dirtier by actual dirt, and his eyes are hidden by the shadow of his hat brim. The man stood leaning against one of the exposed walls, staring knowingly at the floating cloud of sand, his shiny white teeth showing in a grin, although making him out from the middle of the sandstorm would be a little difficult.
She gradually opened her eyes, and looked around. Her eyes suddenly got wide at the structure before them. Andrew... I think we will be...." she paused take it in.. Then she practically shouted it.. "We will be rich!! Look at this place!" She pulled his arm, refusing to let go... Her excitement flowing out. "I bet there is secret artifacts! Oh! forgotten top of the line clothing that we can steal. Can we please! please! Explore it! Please! We're the forty-cough two thieves!" She shivered with excitement, she had no idea what could be lurking... But then did she really honestly care? It always seemed she only cared about two things, finding trouble and selfishly drag Andrew to it...
Andrew relaxed his grip on the sand, allowing it to tall to the ground. "Look at this place, it's been burried for years, at least!" Andrew began walking towards the ruins, smiling at Natu. "...But It does look like a cool place to explore. Let's see what's-" Andrew cut off, noticing the man leaning against the wall. Andrew grabbed Natu's shoulder firmly, and began pulling her away from the ruins, away from the man, and began backing away as quickly as he could without taking his eyes off the gritty stranger in the dirty clothes. "Natu, I think we should get out of here..."

The man stood there, almost not even moving, as the two started forward. But then when Andrew started to pull backwards, the man's grin deepened, and he actually began to laugh. His voice was like his face; gritty and ill-kept.
"Hey, Kid. Been a while, hasn't it? What's the rush, huh? Why don't you stay a while? You don't want to miss the stuff in this place, I promise you that!" The man remained leaning against the wall, waiting to see what the forty-two thieves would do.
Natu was just about to skip all the way into the entrance of the giant rock temple structure, when suddenly her hubby pulled her back. "Wah?" She turned to him confused when a voice suddenly spoke. Something about the voice made her freeze and slowly turn her head. Who was that? Where did he come from? She felt her whole body start to shake almost like a predator had reached and was getting ready to kill its prey. She did not know why... But this guy... Whoever he was... Where-ever he came from.. Knew her husband... And was obviously not her husband's number one favorite guy... This for some odd reason made her want to act out... Not follow her husband's wise decisions.. To do something foolish, something to protect him. She gave a smile, "Hello, mister! What would your name be?" she asked running out of Andrew's grip and reach closer toward the smelly old creepy guy. "You look so cool! OH! I bet you are like some freaking Sand God or something AMANZING!" she had no idea.... that she had hit the nail on the head.. In fact.. She had no idea just who she was joking at... Just who she praised just who... What is she doing... What is she doing!! She held out something round, "Mister... Could you hold this? Pwetty please..." It was something small and round, she had large innocent eyes... "It is the only thing I own... Please I need your help.. Please hold it.." before he could object she placed the object in his hand.. In two seconds the object would go off causing a smoke cloud... She had it planned in her head that she and Andrew will run into the temple.. Away from this creepo... But hey.. Like I said.. She just had no idea whom she was dealing with. Surely this prank was not too... deadly for her..
Andrew's eyes widened in surprise as Natu tore free of his grip and ran to the man. "Natu! Get away from him! it's not safe! Leave her alone, you..." Andrew cut off as he realized he wasn't even sure what the man was. Just that he was most definitely NOT just a man.
Andrew rushed forward, trying to grab a hold of Natu, and pull her away. "Natu! We need to LEAVE! We can come back some other time, it's not worth it!" Andrew felt the cold knife of fear digging deeper and deeper into his back...He was terrified, and Natu was ignoring him! She was about to get herself killed!!!

Up close, Natu can see that while the man is gritty in both literally and figuratively, he doesn't look nearly as old up close as he does from afar, due to a lack of wrinkles on his face, aside from a few laugh-lines. He looks down at her with a welcoming smile as she begins asking him questions.
"My name? Well, my kid calls me Old Man, haha, but If that doesn't suit you, Sirius works. Sand god? No, that's our friend back there, not me. I'm more interested in souls, myself." The man tips his head towards Andrew as he comments about 'their' friend, completely ignoring Andrew's panicked voice. His eyebrows raise as Natu offers him the small object. "This is your only possession? I couldn't take something so valuable as that, really! I'm sorry, but I can't just take the only thing someone has in this world. It ain't right." The man pushed the small object back into Natu's hands, and began stepping backwards towards the doorway, while motioning for Natu and Andrew to follow him. "Come on, Andrew, you're holding up the party! Hurry up before you miss out on all the best treasure!" The small smoke bomb's timer is almost up, and Natu only has a moment before it goes off in her hands...
The old man who called himself Sirius and was interested in souls handed her own device back, this certainly was a bad situation.. before even thinking about it Natu threw the device far behind her, where it popped a black smoke cloud. "Thank you, sir. It meant so much to me." it almost seemed she was ignoring the fact the smoke cloud is what she try to hand the old man. She gave a huge smile, she should have been listening to Andrew... Something about his actions were telling her to follow his command, he was being serious, something serious was happening. This guy was not to be messed with, yet... yet... something about him.. drew her in.. almost as if her soul wanted to touch the guy... She turned to Andrew, "Yeah stop holding up the party. I bet there is amazing drooling treasure in there! We are the thieves club, why can't be go? He is practically inviting us in there. Hubby, let's go! It will be an adventure!"She attempted to pull him in there but found her efforts futile. She did not know why, she should not be doing this, Andrew was right... He was always right, so why? Why was she being like this? "You know what, party Pooper! I am going to have fun with Sirius and not you!"She broke away and began to walk into the temple not at all looking back, the obvious fate of a girl who is about to die from a terrible decision.
Andrew gawked as Natu tried to use a bomb on the...the thing, only to have him push it back into her hands. This was bad. This was badthiswasbadthiswasbadTHISWASBAD!!! Andrew wanted to run away, but Natu was running INTO the ruins! She was running strait into the most dangerous place ever!
"NATU!!! WAIT!!!" Andrew rushed after her, all the while wishing Natu would turn around and they could leave. "PLEASE LET'S JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! ANYWHERE BUT HERE RIGHT NOW. NOT WITH THAT...THAT..." Andrew's voice cut off as he avoided saying something that might anger Sirius. His mind blasted full of fear, panic overriding everything else, Andrew followed after Natu, wishing he was able to do something more than just hope for survival.
Deep within Andrew's spirit, something ancient stirred. Your fear cries out to all who can hear it. Yet it is your sorrow and acceptance of the oncoming death that draws me from my slumber. I welcome your acceptance of the end, and ask if you would see it all laid waste...
Sirius picked at an ear as Anwar continued to scream as his girlfriend dragged him into the ruins. As they passed him, however, the god noticed the Spirit of the Desert stirring within Anwar. <Oh no you don't! I'm not in the mood to deal with your shit right now. You sit there and let the two panic in peace!>
As they entered the ruins, Sirius thought forwards to when they would run into any number of traps Sirius had set up in advance. There were spike traps made with blunt objects of every sort, with pressure plates that dropped sandbags, and a particularly nasty group of drop-out-from-under-you floors that took you back to the beginning. There were other traps he didn't remember, but that's why he was at the back of the group. This was going to be fun!
Natu lead the way, random traps kept coming and coming, she did not seem to notice. She just kept going forward easily jumping this way and that like it was some sort of acrobatic game, she never noticed if Andrew was having trouble or not. "See Andrew? This place is safe and amazing! This like level 1 stuff here, oh! I wonder what this does." She found a switch built into the rock, it seemed to be a torch switch.. When she pulled it there was much groaning as many other traps were release. Nothing happened to her, but then she was the one who pulled the switch. "It must be broken...." She eventually turned around... "Soo.... What happened?" she asked pretending not to notice all the traps either destroyed against the walls or leaving markings on the ground. She seemed completely unscathed, luck certain was high on her end today. Too bad the next post will get her hit by at least one trap.
