The Red Thief

[Kaori]

" Red Strikes again in the Diamond Kingdom! Three found dead! " 

"Pathetic." 

  The red scarfed girl saw the news and whispered to herself, almost rolling her eyes. It was truly pathetic the fight those sailors put up. Only one had a weapon, two of them drunk. It was good they died, they were a threat to everyone else. And, the price was just irresistible. Kaori found herself in the Marketplace, spending half of her new balance she gained. She found it rather interesting the things this place sold. Maybe she would find something useful, but maybe not. She hated marketplaces because of all the people, though. People annoyed her, only if she could slit all their throats and be done. That sounds like paradise.

  Staying hidden was easy, no one knew what she looked like because she simply left no witnesses. She had a new mission though, just got it the night before. It was soon she would need to go on patrol again, to find her acquired target. Kaori moved swiftly through the crowds, only to see a child reaching for a bread basket. The seller, she knew, was not very kind, and knew this child would get into trouble ( hence the bread was overly priced and "expensive" ). Watching as this happened, Kaori strode over, after the child had sulked away, sniffling and crying, Kaori stole the same bread item in a sneaky fashion. She then carefully walked back to the child and gave the small thing the bread quickly.

  "Be careful next time." 

  Smiling slightly, Kaori watched the child munch happily and then walk off with a wave. Though, an angry seller saw what had happened and began an angry march toward the turned back of Kaori. This didn't look too good.

[Violet Grimshaw]

Violette stands quietly in the market place as she often does, simply watching the people go by. She's smiling, glowing with happiness really as she watches her people shop. She smiles and waves to an elderly couple that sells nothing but amethyst. They smile back and offer some of their wares, but Violette doesn't plan to buy anymore from the pair, as she's already bought a whole set just to keep the two on their feet. She shakes her head as she and Tiger walk along down the road.

As she walks, she notices something in the sky that wasn't forecasted for weeks to come: rain. The clouds look weighted down and heavy with the precipitation, and the people of the market know what that means all too well. The shops will perishable goods gather up their wares as quickly as possible as those with lasting wares begin to bring their more valuable objects out from the open. Violette doesn't do anything out of the ordinary, really, as she continues to walk. Violette notices that on Tiger's back lies Cherry, who is sitting almost too depressingly to be normal. Of course, it's the rain that's causing this..as Cherry's form and attitude depends on the weather, but the little grass type looks almost too sad today..

As the rain slowly begins to trickle down, Tiger whines lightly, his fire typing begging to be freed from the rain. Violette gets out an umbrella and Tiger grabs the contraption with his mouth, his canine body being protected from the otherwise very uncomfortable water. As Violette and her two companions walk along, she notices a girl being followed by a man, who is apparently being followed because she stole something from him. His other bread will be ruined if he doesn't give up..and he's being incredibly rude.. She thinks as she grabs something out of her bag.

She tosses a coin at the man's head, grabbing his attention. As he turns to her, Violette speaks. "You there, I'm sure that will pay for the bread, now leave the girl alone and tend to your own stall, unless you'd like a royal guard to help you and your wares out of the market." She says, grinning because she enjoys exerting her presence despite not really being all that upset. 

The man straightens up quickly as he rushes back to his stall, apparently setting up for the day. Violette doesn't say anything to the girl, but if she looks at her, she'll nod before continuing on. Eventually the street narrows and splits into two alleys. Violette takes the alley on the right, knowing that it will eventually lead back to Faer Castle; Violette doesn't wan't to be stuck in the rain, as enjoyable as it is. As she walks, Violette almost skips to the sound of the rain which Tiger happily trotting along. 

[Kaori]

Kaori watched this with a sudden surge of anger. Sure, she had paid for her to continue on, but the infamous Red could handle herself. Kaori did not like when people intervened with her business, even if she was a knight or a guard of sorts. Kaori didn't like those types of people anyways, where were they when she actually needed them?

Kaori decided to follow the guard into the alley, making sure she had easy access to any weapons on her body. She always had weapons on her, when did she not. Though, Kaori thought that maybe this girl would help her get into the castle.. She knew her assignment was in there, but she wasn't quite sure. So, maybe an innocent act may do her good for once.

"E-excuse me, miss? Thank you for.. For defending me.." Kaori said, in a weak fashion.

She was disgusted with the way she had to act, she hated being this way. So helpless, but acting was apart of the job. Had to keep everything in line, so she wouldn't be hung or worse. She smiled gently at The knight, her red scarf wrapped tightly around her neck.
