Chester Vs Shinji

THIRD TOURNAMENT BATTLE

This battle is between Chester and Shinji.


The competitors may make any sort of entrance to the Tournament their Rpiers feel will match their personalities. These entrances can be anything from teleportation to falling randomly out of the sky, the major requirement is that they battle the competitor before them. Anybody may enter the battle at any time to help any competitor they want, due to this any rule goes. The way to win is to get your opponent admit defeat and quit the battle, deaths require permission of both rpiers, and fighters make walk out of the ring at anytime and are given time interval to return {5 posts}. Other characters may post in the thread to watch the battle in anticipation, they have to join battle with both competitor rpiers permission. If both rpiers cannot decide who wins the match, example both want to win, then the staff will decide the battle with a scoresheet at the end before a winner is declared. The Battles will end when the 3rd page is reached, battles may end anytime before that. Once your character enters the battle ring [EI posts] they are not allowed to go buy items from the Site shop, use newly gained abilities, etc. For example what they enter with is what they get, you start with aurora sphere but gain black blood in another thread that is happening same time the tournament, they may not use the black blood. This is the same with Shop items, they may not use any new bought shop items after posting their first post in their first battle.

Betters please bet for the winner of this battle in the betting area, this area will be opened up sometime tonight waay before the battle ends.

[Chester Gabriel]

Chester floats down to the battle field upon hearingh his name, ready to "fight" for his country's honor, what's left of it anyway.. He uses his psychic abilities to float his body down to the side of the battlefield opposite of his opponent, and he watches him make his entrance. Of course, Chester knows very little about this "Shinji" person, and sadly he doesn't know his battling style, so the Demigod will have to use his own to hopefully match the opposing battler..

Chester looks the boy over a bit, wondering if there is something special about him that made him want to enter the tournament. He's obviously not a Demigod..but..what is he? I suppose I've received the chance to find out haven't I? He thinks, watching his opponent, waiting for him to make his first move. Chester fiddles with his chains as he waits, preparing himself mentally for the battle that is to come. He thinks about the kingdom that he's been to very few times and he wonders if this "Queen Camellia" that has offered her palace to the world is really as powerful and strong as the people of his natvie country believe.

He thinks about the fact that his country is becoming more and more low on food, and he thinks about the fact that his country is slowly depleting the small food reserves it does have. Chester knows that if something isn't done soon, Olivae will look little like a kingdom, and more like it's province, the land engulfed in sand and blazing with sun. Chester looks upon the field with as much resolve as the trickster can possibly muster up as he readies himself for anything that might be coming his way. His muscles are tense and his body exited for the battle to come.  

[Shinji]

He was pushed onto the field by some of the tournament helpers, he didn't mean to sign-up.. He believed that he was at the betting table, not the sign-up table. What a terrible terrible mistake he had made. His back was faced to the opponent as he tried to explain to the helpers that he did not want to be in the Tournament. They merely said his name was on the list and that he was to fight, then they closed the gate to leave him and his opponent to battle it out.

The short spiky blue hair, multilayer wearing clothing guy turned to see his opponent. The opponent reminded him totally of his land were weird and outrageous was acceptable in the world. He attempted not to judge the opponent and just try and speak to the guy. He started walking over to the opponent in hopes that maybe he could explain everything there, he was a pacifist he does not fight. This battle was not to happen, he would just declare quits and get pulled out of the battler arena, yeah that is what will happen. Everything will go smoothly, the opponent will let him talk and let him leave. Why should he battle? Battling was evil and wrong, peaceful way of deciding things were best to go. "Sir, If you are willing to hear me out, I do not want to battle you. I would like to leave." his words did not come out right, it sounded more like he was taunting him, this was not good. "I-I did not mean.." his heart rate picked up as he tried the best way to explain this whole situation to the cat person, demon, thing.

[Spirit Mew]

Spirit watched the arena, invisible to most, although he noticed Dialga and Palkia sitting near the front row, no doubt waiting for fight 6. Not that he blamed them, he had shown up only for this one, but he planned to stay for that fight too. It would be interesting no matter how today broke down.
But he was getting distracted. It was the kid's turn to make his move....and his opponent was already backing out. Sure, it was a good sign that his opponent took him seriously, but this...this was stupidly easy. No way was he letting the brat off that easy.

While still invisible, especially to Chester, Spirit summoned up a trio of Hauntars, making sure that it looked like the Shinji kid summoned them.

[Chester Gabriel]

Chester watches as his opponent is basically forced onto the battlefield. He wonders why he's even here if he's so unwilling to fight. That's the the typical "OHHH" comes out. He hears the boy's explanation and is slightly sad that he won't be able to play with the boy, but he's happy he doesn't have to-- Haunter? Are those.. did he just.. Chester watches as the Haunter approach.

Chester grabs a charm off of his scarf and activates it, not knowing it's effect, as he made it a while ago. The charm forms into a ball of water. Great.. what am I.. he thinks as he tries to do something with the ball. He tosses the ball at a Haunter, it's power barely enough to flinch it, so he grabs his chains, ready to actually do something.

He takes his chains and slams them into one of the haunter, not worrying about whether it dodged or not. He grabs another one and tries to constrict it to the point of fainting while using another chain to slam the final haunter away. He looks at the boy who may or may not be attacking and speaks. "Are you fighting or not? Surprises are fun, trust me.. but your acting was so good, I couldn't tell what you were planning. " he says, commending his opponent for attacking him, a Totally normal gesture in battle..

[Fertility Mew]

Mew was walking around as a girl form trying to get any food anybody was willing to share with her. She used every advantage she had, huge eyes, cute voice, and just plain cute little child body. Some of the civilians fell for it, but others were just too mean. Those who didn't let her have free food, well they may find never be able to have kids again, the jerks didn't deserve kids for their evilness to a child. Finally with enough food, invisible and floating in a telekinesis ball, she sat next to her brother. She then let her human form to partially melt away to show pink ears and a tail, keeping the basic human hands and feet. She then moved her first taken food into her human hands and started to munch, then offered some to her brother, the food was a plate full of pork rib. She never noticed the ghost trick he had pulled, but then did she really care, that pork rib was just too delicious.

[Shinji]

He watched suddenly as the guy grabbed something from his scarf, it transformed into a sort of ball of water. Shinji felt his whole body froze, was he planning to attack him anyway? Did they have some sort of understanding, what just happened? That was when the water ball hit this creature, what? He looked around now noticing the newcomers to the battlefield, did his opponent summon those? No.. Why would he be attacking them... Shinji just stood there awkwardly not sure what to do, he didn't want to help his opponent, yet... What if these ghosts hurt people? No.. He would not hurt the ghosts, the ghosts were obviously only attacking his opponent... That was when the guy yelled at him, he made it sound like that he had summoned the ghosts.. He raised his hands again trying to explain that it wasn't him, sadly his hand movements made it seem like it was. "No, it was not me.. I swear... I don't know where they came from.. I am sorry, here let me just.. find a way to quit.. how do you quit?" He felt really dumb and silly, he tried to forfeit before but they wouldn't let him... Was this a battle to the death? He felt his heart rate quicken, he didn't want to die.. He didn't want to kill... What was happening?

[Chester Gabriel]

Chester looks over at the boy who looks far too confused to really have summoned the creatures. If it wasn't him.. then.. the proctors? Is this their way of keeping us in a fight? Hmm He thinks as he notices two of the three haunters flying back at him. Not again... he says as he slams his chains into another, the second jumping at him, ready to attack. Chester is ready to float over the creature, but he decides to conceal his abilities and he jumps to the side instead.

He grabs his chains again, slamming it into the ghost's face, causing it to finally disappear. He looks at his opponent who apparently wants to be anything but. "Shinji, right? It appears we aren't allowed to quit, so let's at least give them a show, okay?" Chester says, his wide smile showing his happiness.

Chester waits a moment for the boy to reply before taking out another charm, activating it, creating a flash of light ending in a barrage of swift stars flying out of it. Chester looks around carefully, watching for anymore tricks the proctors might pull.

[Spirit Mew]

Spirit burst out laughing at his son's voiced suspicion on the source of the hauntars. The proctors!?! He'd have to remember that one! Spirit managed to stop laughing long enough to try some of the offered food. It really was delicious. Whoever the chef was, she knew her stuff! But putting that aside, it looked like the kid and the coward might work together. That would ruin all the fun...
Spirit floated above the battlefield, trying to figure out what to do next, when an idea struck him. It wasn't even malicious! Turning to Fertility, Spirit motioned to her, pointing at Chester. <Hey, sis. Listen, I'm going to play a game with Jr, and I'd like your help with something. It's nice and simple, I think you'll like it; You sit there and finish the plate off. When you're done, then you fly down there and take the poor fellow in the robes over there when you get some more. When you do, I'll take his place and let the kid keep thinking I'm his opponent. Sound fun? Just remember; when you take the coward with the blue hair, don't let anyone see or hear you leave with him. The game's no fun if Chester knows about it.>

Spirit, still invisible, drifted to right behind the robed kid, waiting to turn into a spitting image of him when Fertility teleported the kid to the food-stands.

[Fertility Mew]

She giggled at his plan, maybe the robbed guy would eat all her food with a smile? That plan sounded great! She quickly finished the last of the pork cleaned her face off like a cute little kitten, then immediately took flight following her brother. Maybe after switching the boy she could show him all the cool food stuff! She got close the boy as she could, she came up behind covered her still invisible human kid right hand over his mouth and turned him completely invisible. Soon after that she used her telekinesis power to lift both their weights off the battlefield, totally invisible and as silent as possible. She took him over to her original spot and sat down still covering hims mouth, she lowered the food and pretty much stuffed the food in his mouth like he was a new fun toy to play with. Her tail gave a wag at the excitement of this new game, she kind of wanted to add more to it, but she didn't want to ruin her brother's fun.

[Shinji]

He watched this guy wide eye with awe, how does he fight and keep his powers and abilities under control? How does he fight the urge to kill everything in sight? He wanted to help.. He really really did... But just some issues. "I can't I'm A-" He couldn't finish something from behind him covered his mouth... He of course freaked out and tempted to fight it.. Whatever... Whomever.. This thing was... It had a tight power... Then they started to rise.. His eyes widen suddenly scared of hieghts... He stopped struggling scared of falling, suddenly he was sat down on the watching area.... Then have food shoved up his mouth.. "sto-mmmmhmmhm... wha-hmmhmjmj" He felt tears fall from all the food... He did not know what to do.. His pascifism... Prevented him from hitting for without reason... Not to mention it was a little girl... Wait.. With a tail? A demon?

Chester watches the poor flustered boy try to speak, seeing him ready to give some kind of answer, before being silenced. What is with this boy..Is he okay? Maybe I shouldn't play with him too much..he seems like the scary type..Hmm.. Whatever, I bet this will be fun, pretending to battle..almost as fun as playing with HiKa! He says, watching a strange distortion appear around the boys body before passing it off as an lighting problem..

Chester looks at Shinji carefully, wondering why he doesn't look flustered in the same way anymore, or at all for that matter. Is this part of the act? I like it. He thinks as he prepares for "acting" session. Chester grabs another charm off of his scarf and speaks. "Charm, Activate!" He says as the charm glows just as before. This time, the charm forms into yet another water type attack. This attack is more of a gush of water, almost a shot of water, and it's heading right toward "Shinji".

Chester waits for a response, feeling body tense in case the boy plays his part too well. Chester looks to find Hikari in the crowd, but he can't see her. The cat-eared Demigod wonders if maybe he'll decide to help his friend in her battle. HiKa won't need my help..will she? She's playing against that mortal..the one with the purple hair..right? I think? She was the only one who reacted positively to the matchup when her name was called..whatever..Oh right! This is my battle! I need to stop worrying about battles to come! He thinks, watching his opponent, preparing to dodge if the need should arise.

[Spirit Mew]

Spirit ducked in, transforming into a near-perfect copy of the coward's appearance, and finishing the man's sentence. "I can't, I'm a summoner. But my friends here will happily help with that!" With the flick of the wrist, 'Shinji' summoned another hauntar, and two gengars, and stepped back and away from them, so that the swift stars missed entirely. The haunter swayed side to side, attempting to put the kid to sleep through hypnosis. If he fell for it, the Gengar's would use their Nightmare powers to teach Chester a lesson. Meanwhile, if he didn't fall asleep, they would circle him, firing balls of shadow, forcing the kid to dodge.

As the water charm attack came flying at 'Shinji', the man lightly sidestepped, taking advantage of not having to worry about staying in attack range, or even having to worry about attacking in general. It looked like the kid was kinda distracted, and Spirit made sure that the Gengars launched extra dark globes at him to keep him on his toes. After all, if the kid tried to read his spiritual aura, he'd easily recognize his old man's battle aura; there was no hiding it when he was summoning and controlling various spirit pokemon...

[Chester Gabriel]

Chester focuses on the boy carefully, watching as his entire mien changes, watching him summon more creatures to battle. not even a smile? This boy's good. he thinks as he dodges the first attack. Now, as the creatures approach him, he begins to prepare himself to dodge.

He jumps out of the way as several orbs fly his way, watching as he's circled by the beings. He slams his chains into one of them, but it goes right through. Darn he thinks as he jumps out of the circle of ghosts, grabbing a strange deck of cards from his pocket.

He pulls a card out quickly, not showing the face, and it begins to glow as Chester says "activate", releasing it's energy. The card releases a blast of fire that will burst on contact, damaging the target and anything near it. He waits to see how the Ghosts react, watching his opponent at the same time. He wishes the battle, as fake as it is, could have been a bit more filled with spirit.. if only he knew..

[Hikari]

Hikari sat in the stands. Stryker and some of the others were not too far away, but Hikari didn't want to talk to them right now. She didn't really want to talk to anyone right now. She sat there watching as Chester fought...her eyes flicking to the astral, to see the switch...his father. Their lives were just the play-things of the gods...you know, at least she was aware of it. The poor mortals along the stands, they had no idea...no idea at all of the powers sitting amongst them, making plans and playing games with them...It made her sick to the stomach just to think about it...

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a familiar figure sitting near the front row. Dialga. Hikari felt her eyes widen in shock and fear. Her pulse quickened, and her hands began glowing. Fear made it hard to hide. Pulling her hood back up, Hikari turned away, hoping her panic wasn't too noticeable on the astral.
