Candace walks along the brick path that leads up to the Cafe. She looks around her, the dawn of the morning just now beginning to make its presence known to the earth. What a beautiful morning She thinks as she reaches into her white and teal purse, searching for the key to the large lock on the door, which is strangely placed in the middle of the door rather than on one side.
Now where did I put that silly thing? Candace thinks as she digs in her purse, feeling the urge to poor the entire thing out to search. There is it! she thinks, fealing the metallic key touch her fingers. She pulls the key out and puts it into the lock, turning the lock slowly before opening the door, which doesn't creak a bit as it slowly swings open.
Candace looks around the cafe, breathing in the air she is so proud to be a part of. She looks at the dust seems more existent this morning because of the sunlight's reflection on it; she makes a mental note that she needs a real cleaning employee, as she can't expect Blake to do it everytime the cafe closes.
Candace walks back into the kitchen and plops her purse on the ground underneath some of the ranges, the purse landing squarely in a pot. She goes the large sink located in the middle of the kitchen and washes her hands thouroughly before setting out to look in the ice box. As she opens the large black box, she notices just how empty the container is.
The ice is running low, as is the food contained within it. Candace knows that the people love the Three Corners Cafe's food because it tastes fresh, and how can it be fresh if there is no fresh food? Candace makes another mental note to send for some ice before it becomes nonexistent in the cafe.
Hmm..An Ice type would fix that right up wouldn't it.. Candace thinks as she turns on several burners on the grill the Cafe spent so long saving up for. She cracks a few cold eggs and lets those sit there as she goes to find some seasonings in the spice cabinet. As she opens it, her widened eyes contract as she realizes she needs to buy some spices as well.
Of course..I swear..If they didn't charge so much for them I'd buy pounds of the stuff! Candace thinks as she slams the cabinet shut, marching back over to the eggs, adding a bit of salt, not wishing to waste the precious resource.
Candace, while waiting for the eggs to cook a bit more, walks into the dining section, waiting for the smell of the eggs reaching their need for a flip. As she waits, she tries to rememer when Blake was supposed to come into work..Hmm..she was coming in early, right? She thinks, also wondering where her usual early morning customers are..
