The Olivae Kingdom
The People;; Culture & Religion
The culture in this area focuses around impurity, the people here do everything in their power to make the realm as dark and evil as they can. The impurities around allow Demons to survive in this kingdom versus the other kingdoms, which intels allows the demons to breed with the humans and allow oddity monsters. Angels are attracted to this area for the very same impurities, mainly in attempt to cure them, although they are usually consumed by the impurities and become "fallen". Usually the impurities are shown by black blood, a black cloud or liquid from the reverse world, and can cause humans to mutate into darker beings, especially at night. It is believed that those whom are insane and mad have a greater connection to Dark Blood and the Dark Gods/Goddesses of the region,t he "dark ones", and thus should be shown with high regard.
As for strong power and magic, the strongest will prevail, weak will be frowned upon. If a character has the ability to challenge and win against another character, the character that had lost must give their freedom and rights to the character they lost to. As such the character with most battle wins is usually hold with high regards and is more likely to be accepted as Generals into the Imperial Army. The reason for this so the king will appear stronger and fearless to house those stronger and more insane than he/she. Due to this usually demigods, black blood consumers, angels, and/or demons usually end up as Generals. Only those with the Yvetal blood running through their veins may be royalty, usually the royalty show high powers of vampirism, sucking life force out of individuals in their own unique way.
The people in this kingdom do not receive any sort of education or schooling, the most schooling one would ever get is at home and in secrecy. This is to prevent those with strong magical powers to get even stronger and possibly rise up against the Royalty, as well as this is to oppose the phrase "knowledge is power". It is rare and usually questioned if a citizen knows how to read, write, and lots of abnormal information. Those with knowledge usually end up being spied on by many of the king's spies, a precaution on the Royal family's part. Any sort of mention or rebellion or seeking of knowledge ever escapes an individuals lips they are to be dueled then to lose their tongue if that individual loses the duel.
Slavery is allowed, however the slavery here is different from other provinces and kingdoms. Every citizen can possibly be a slave to another citizen, because of this all slaves are treated with respect and equality. Anybody can gain freedom from their slave owner by dueling and winning the duel against that slave owner. If a free individual is ever challenge into a duel and lose they will become a slave to the winner of the duel. The marking of slaves is usually an invisible tattoo unique to the Master of the slave, that appears only if the Master gives the slave a command. It is possible for a duelist to beat someone of higher title, but will be unable to gain that title merely the owner of that title. Due to this if the King ever loses a duel and becomes a slave to a commoner, that commoner will not be a king, just merely master of the King. The tattoo transfer is magical and requires no actual tattooing or pain to the newly slaved individual. Slaves brought into the country are actually bought then challenged in a duel before their Masters can take the home, a reason Slave owners in this country aims for slaves that seem weaker than they are. The slaves are required to follow the orders of their masters, otherwise the tattoos will began to burn them and eventuality causing the slave to die of black ink flames.
