As the sunlight grew, so did the light of Stryker grow in brightness. "Indeed. You better not die when I return." he said smiling, hopeful for the future. He looked at the rising sun, full of promise and possibilities of what it holds. "Arceus speed you, and good luck killing that witch. We both wouldn't want her to live too long now do we?" he asked, holding out his hand to Tristan as the light grew brighter. "Till we meet again." he said as the light grew brightest. The silhouette of his true form tiredly looked at Tristan, arms crossed and standing. It gave a nod and blew into the wind, toward his tree home once again. Which was towards the castle and beyond.
When Stryker awoke, he groggily got up, and headed to where he usually goes to watch the sunrise. Darn, I'm a bit late. he thought as he watched the sky change color. He had a fuzzy feeling, happy and sad at the same time. Strange. I didn't go out during the night. Must've been a nice dream though. he thought as he looked down on the decorated tree. Indeed, it was decorated to catch the attention of Delibird. Around tree was silent, for most pokemon were still sleeping, enveloping the area with tranquil silence. The sparkle of color around the bottom caught his attention, a square, wrapped box with a pretty bow on top. A note was tied to the ribbon, with some kind of writing on it. What's this? he thought, pushing his thick moss covering the hollow, and flew down from his branch to examine the box.
In unknown runes, were the words: To Stryker. Give this to a deserving human, I can't go myself, it's too noisy there. You'll probably know who to give this to. Probably.
The heck? he thought, taking the box back into his hollow, and opening it carefully. Inside was a wooden carving of a mareep, painted to look like a real one, albeit tiny. Why would it be a mareep? What's so special about it? he thought looking all over it. The mareep was three dimensional, could be used as a paperweight, fit for decoration. Questions rolling around his mind, he inwardly groaned. I'll go looking around the space taking human towns later. After I take care of everything else here. he thought, putting it carefully back in the box. He looked up out the hollow, feeling as if he forgot something important.
He sat back on the limb, watching the sun calmly. At least I'm warm. he thought as he basked in the warmth of the sun, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, waiting for the rest of the pokemon to wake up and start work.
