well, we're all pretty knew to shadowrun, so it took a lot longer than it should have. But you have 10 stats (12 if you're a wizard or technomancer), and then you have a good 20+ skills, and then you get cyberware and bioware, and have to ballance out how much of your soul you chopped out, and the you have to get normal gear, like guns and hacking programs...
