Get A Poktmon
Basic Information;;
There are three types of how a character connects or captures a Pokemon: Storage, Bond, and Companion.
Storage: This is where the pokemon is actually stored in a sort of Crystal, in mordern times a Pokemonball. The more advance the object of Storage the less likely the pokemon can be captured by another storage. This Era crystals versus modern pokemonballs, the pokemonballs have a built in unit to prevent pokemon already stored in a unit to be captured in another unit. While the Crystals on other head are too primitive to prevent a character to steal another character's pokemon using another Crystal. The stronger the storage container the less likely the pokemon can escape, example master versus great ball. Except since this site uses so far only crystal the strength of the storage container will be decided based off of colors.
Bond: This is where a ritual, event, or simple 100% friendship can create. A bond depending on how it is implemented Spell versus Friendship can grant a character possibly powers. The only way for other characters to steal a bonded pokemon is through specialized Event items, that have yet to be made.
A Ritual can allow a character to forever be bonded with that Pokemon, whether that character or pokemon likes it or not. Depending on how much the character learns to get along with that pokemon depends on how strong they can actually circulate that Pokemon's Magical abilities into their bodies. A spell or Ritual can actually have infinite sorts of outcomes and can cause absolutely anything to happen such as merge of bodies, mimicry of body, etc etc. The most important common characteristics of Spells and rituals is that the Pokemon and character usually gains the ability to telepathically speak to each other, as well as sense each others pain and presence. It is possible for both bonded pair to die if one of them dies, example pokemon dies so does the character.
Event bonds can be anything, depending exactly on the event, read that event's description to figure what sort of bond the character(s) and pokemon(s) can have. This bond also allows for a character to start with a pokemon rather than gaining it through roleplay.
Finally Friendship, friendship bonds actually allow a character/pokemon actually sense if the pokemon/character is in trouble and sense almost where that character/pokemon is located. It also allows the pokemon/character to sense exactly what that character/pokemon is looking for in battle style. It will also both of them to has a sort of connection that Companion or Storage can have. Friendship also oddly prevents pokemon to be kept in a sort of storage of other characters, thus preventing other characters from capturing that pokemon with their storage device.
Companion: This connection actually chooses to be with a character, it can be captured at any time with a storage device if there is not a 100% friendship bond status. Companion pokemon can choose to leave at any time and can choose whether or not to use their powers to help their fellow character companion. They can only talk to other fellow pokemon.
Site Shop;;
There will be certain items in the shop that can provide the character to go out and capture a Pokemon. These items can be in various of prices. On top of that it is possible for a character to buy a Companion or Storage Pokemon at the Shop, if so be aware that pokemon can be stolen right after purchase and must be trained or enjoy the character's company 100% before that pokemon is safe from other members. The prices can be determined based off a character's current location, strength of item, advanced the item is, and etc. If a character buys an item out of the shop before their bio is made, it is allowed for that character to start with a pokemon, this also counts for Event items as well.
IC in de Kingdoms;;
Olivae/Desert Providence: Your character can run into any pokemon at any time within the Olivae Kingdom Beastiary, if that character can gain the Pokemon's trust that Pokemon will become a companion and start to travel with that character. Usually companion leaves after character and companion reach the line of companions territory. If a character buys a storage crystal from the site shop then they may go out and attempt to catch any pokemon they want, note the crystal can be used over and over but can only store 1 pokemon at a time. Also depending on the crystal color and size will depend on what sorts of pokemon can actually be caught in the crystal.Crystals are also considered rare in the Olivae kingdom. The other possible way is through magic, usually done by te first pokemon the character sees or again pokemon's trust, this is done through rituals. Depending on the ritual will depend on the character's and pokemon's connection. A Unified Society within Olivae may be willing to give a character one of their pokemon.
Crystal: Your character can run into any pokemon at any time within the Crystal Kingdom Beastiary, if that character can gain the Pokemon's trust that Pokemon will become a companion and start to travel with that character. Usually companion leaves after character and companion reach the line of companions territory.
If a character buys a storage crystal from the shop then they may go out and attempt to catch any pokemon they want, note the crystal can be used over and over but can only store one pokemon at a time. Also depending on the crystal color and size will depend on what sorts of pokemon can actually be caught in the crystal.
Crystals are also considered very very common in the Crystal kingdom. Unified Societies within crystal may be willing to give a character one of their pokemon, if this is so it could potentially come with a crystal. The other possible way is through Rituals, but this is rarely due to Crystal Kingdom's attacks on Deities and Witches.
Diamond: A character can earn a companion at anytime within the Diamond Kingdom, but usually this pokemn leaves after reaching the end of its own territory. The most major way to get a pokemon is through the Egg Cave, this cave is lined with thousands of pokemon eggs; usually stolen. The first egg a character places his/her hand on and hatches is that character's pokemon. Characters are strongly discouraged to capture pokemon in the wild, mainly to prevent imbalance of nature, though it is possible to break this rule, especially with a crystal. Crystals can be bought from the site shop, but are rare in the Diamond Kingdom. A character can only enter the cave 5 times, once a year, and usually starts at the character's Tenth Birthday. If a character fails to hatch an egg after their fifth time, that character is usually exiled out of the kingdom. A Unified Society within Diamond may be willing to give a character one of their pokemon.
Somniis: A character can earn a companion at anytime within the somniis kingdom beastiary. The most major important way to get a pokemon inside the Somniis kingdom is through a Deity specific ritual. This ritual actually has Cresselia put a character to sleep and then give that character a test dream, usually done through pms. This test dream outcome actually decides what pokemon soul that character ends up getting and if they get any at all. The pokemon soul chosen for the character actually gives that character powers and can speak to that character along with other characters with Pokemon Souls or ghost seeing powers. The Pokemon Souls can hide within a character and can possibly give that character its powers and past/future physical form. The stronger the bond between the chosen pokemon soul and character will decide how much that character can be in human form with that pokemon soul's magical powers. Crystals are OMG rare on Somniis and are usually brought there through sailors, random events, or other pokemon. Crystals if found by a a citizen are usually turned in to the maidens to be stored in a secret forgotten vault. crystals can be bought in the Site Shop but a very high price. The only rituals known to the Somniis kingdom is the rituals for Darkrai and/or Cresselia gift.
