This is where young apprentice rangers learn how to be a Ranger from their mentors, where leaders give missions to other Rangers, and basically where every Ranger comes to rest/refresh and learn what is going on. The Rangers are very cautious and protective of their homebase, even from other people in the kingdom's army. In some way they are a society all by itself. Normal citizens stay away from the base for fear of curses and magic, even though magic is frowned upon, superstitions still are carried around.
