So Far From Home [Open]
Altair drifted slowly… It was almost dawn and he hadn't had any sleep. He could feel everyone else almost lifeless around him. He was always nervous, always on the look out for anything that could get them all into big trouble. His entire body felt stiff and soar from so much running and tensing up. He decided that sitting there wasn't going to help. His sister and the elder of the mission were out getting some money so that they could sneak into Vertrock town and maybe find some rest there. Perhaps. Altair didn't trust this idea. Not at all. It scared him. Not only was he so far away from home, but he was also in enemy territory where he could be found and captured at anytime.
He stood up quietly. Even tried to allow Cevia to sleep a little longer. He didn't want to disturb them. Only wanted to have a little quiet time. He kind of felt sick. When was this nightmare going to end? It wasn't too long before he reached his limit. Passed this next step he wouldn't be able to sense Cevia's life-force anymore. His foot hesitated.
He stood on the road just before the entrance into the city. He was sure of it. He could hear the hinges of the city gates opening and closing. There wasn't much used to going any further. Without any of his company beside him he was essentially useless. He growled in frustration at his limitations. But, unless he wanted to stumble into the city completely blind, then there was no way he was taking that last step.
Altair… why do you continue to run away? I am here with you to help you. The low calm voice came from within his mind. Because of it's faded sense, the boy knew that the pokemon was far away.
"I feel stuck…" He said allowed, if only to keep his pokemon from hearing his voice. It wasn't long before a new sound touched his ears, an alarming sound. Cevia, slave traders are coming this way i think… Wake him up!
It wasn't long before he heard a growl and a few loud barks coming from the direction he had just left. Which meant Cevia was probably in the process of waking up the guard boy. Why they needed a guard he had no idea, but they had been traveling together for years. Anyway…
It had been a long time since they had heard from his sister and the elder and he was getting quite worried. The elder had some pretty crazy ideas. What if he got his sister stuck in some stupid plot that he had come up with. Doing the best he could to stay out of sight, Altair moved away from the spot he was standing on and retraced his steps on the way back to the other half of his company.
