The Oblivion Sword is a claymore that has been the symbol of the monarch for almost as long as the kingdom has existed. It is one-of-a-kind because of the material made to create it: crystallized Black Blood. It was crafted by one of the royalty's ancestors, who was one of the greatest blacksmiths of his time. Only members of the royalty can wield the sword due to its special properties. Anyone else who even puts a finger on the handle will face a significant decrease in sanity the longer they touch it.All who are struck with this blade will feel their soul AND sanity being stolen from. The power that is taken is given to the wielder of the blade, or the wielder's energy can be released in a powerful, wide beam of scarlet.
xx Magic
70% of Laurentius' blood is Yveltal's, making him more 'monster' than human. He possesses more strength than the average Demigod's, let alone a human's. He is one of the only people in his bloodline who could wield the heavy Oblivion Sword with one hand. His speed is also nothing to scoff at either. Vampiric Touch: Anyone who touches his skin shall feel their soul and their sanity drain. It provides strength to Laurentius, sustaining his own deteriorating essence.
Oblivion Tempest: Using his black blade to channel his dark energies, a large black tornado would grow with the blade's tip at its center. Not only does it attempt to pull objects into it, but also other magical energies. These are then converted into life energy for Laurentius, though it takes much more to sate his always-growing hunger. While life force can also be absorbed, targets must be about three feet from the tornado for that to occur.
Black Rain: Darkness would fire out of the sword of Oblivion, zooming upward and dividing into smaller orbs. Pausing for a few seconds, they would fall back down at the speed of rain dropping from the sky until the energy used in the spell is completely expended, which is usually about three posts.
Shroud: The user is wrapped in a black, cloth-like spell that teleports him onto another spot within his field of vision.
Only under the cover of night, Laurentius unwillingly transforms into a sick fusion of Yveltal and himself. His ability to use the Oblivion Sword and his tactical mind are sacrificed for near god-like strength, even greater speed, sharp claws, and the ability to fly. This ability can be used at will, but only during desperate times.
Oblivion Wing: A large, red beam is shot out from the mouth of the user, forcibly pulling life energy form its targets to feed the user's insatiable hunger.

xx Face Claim
Sterkenburg Cranach from Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arlandxx Appearance
Laurentius is unusual in that he doesn't flaunt his status with his appearance. He is equipped with a dark-gray, buttoned uniform. Every piece besides the buttons themselves are the same, dull, dark-gray. Around his waist is a dark-gray belt with a black buckle, and even further down is a pair of dark-gray pants. Blah blah blah... dark-gray... dark-gray... oh. Hey look at that, he also wears a pair of buckled longboots.Over the uniform is a tattered, black trenchcoat with white lining over his pockets. A chain is attached between a metal plate behind one shoulder and in front of the other. His choice in gloves is rather asymmetrical. Over his left hand is a light-gray fingerless glove. Over his right forearm and hand is a black glove, buckled close to where it meets the elbow.
Behind it all, a well-built man with lightly-tanned skin and auburn eyes stands with a constantly fierce look on his face. Disheveled brown hair covers the entirety of his head and extends backwards into a mullet. It'd be hard to mistake him for an adventurer rather than a king.
Open and Public
xx Personality
Not much fazes the young king, and even less can evoke visible happiness. The stern look on his face is one that could burn into one's soul if they stared at him for long enough. His condescending presence befits royalty, leaving many of his own subjects to fear and avoid him with this alone. However, a truly perceptive person could see sorrow in his eyes, yearning for something that he could not obtain... begging for the end of something that he himself cannot finalize.Laurentius is indeed a slightly heartless and cruel individual, never hesitating to perform the more crueler of his duties. A slave disobeying his master for some greater sake is a criminal. The only proper punishment is imprisonment or death. Should he be given the choice, Laurentius would choose death. This results in his reputation as the Black King of Oblivion. But, it is this ability to be a ruthless king that has made him Oblivion's most effective ruler thus far.
His skill as a tactician also befits that of a king. Trained into his part at a young age, Laurentius' expertise in war rivals great conquerors of the past. With only a small army, he could potentially break through the toughest defensive walls and positions set up by his enemies. The only major consistency besides his genius is that he is almost always the aggressor.
Yet, the king holds a deep desire to be free of the bindings of being a king. He wishes to be out, roaming the countries for new adventures to partake in. He wants to meet others, make friends, do all the things that a free person would do. But, he restrains this part of his personality, knowing that he had willingly given all of this up for the one most important in his life...
The Secret Side of Me
xx Greatest Secret
Laurentius is most attracted to women older than himself.xx Greatest Fear
As all kings do, his greatest fear is the destruction of his kingdom. Personally, however, he is already living his greatest fear: a life without freedom.xx Greatest Desire
Obviously, the prosperity of Oblivion Kingdom. Yet, he yearns for a chance to be unbound from his duties... just for a day or two. This is His-story
xx History
Laurentius was born on a bleak, gloomy, spring day. Blackened rain fell harshly on the kingdom that day, signalling the arrival of a new heir to the throne. However, for the first time in the history of Oblivion, there were TWO new heirs. They were twins, possessing the same amount of god blood within them. However, only one held the actual ability to control his power. The other... only possessed the physical strength given by being mostly god as they both were.Seeing this, the current king favored Laurentius more than his twin, shutting that twin away from the world and hoping he would starve or something in the solitary confinement that he was given. He was a cruel man, who gave Oblivion a very negative reputation. For many, many years, the topic of Oblivion Kingdom was taboo. Their presence was lost over the generations, and they went off the radar. Meanwhile, no one would dare enter the forest that divides Oblivion from the rest of the world.
The twin never died in that cell, as Laurentius would always come back with scraps of food. He could never abandon his brother, even if he was inferior to him. The boys would keep each other company, while Laurentius went off to be tutored by his father and the royal instructors. With them, he was trained in the art of combat, controlling his heightened ability to manipulate the power of absorbed souls. He also learned to restrain himself from falling to his innate hunger for those souls.
Once he reached the age of sixteen, the king died due to illness. The old man had a weak heart. His death was caused by a heart attack, and no foul play was suspected. This resulted in Laurentius' early reign. He allowed his brother freedom, and he gave him a place alongside him. It was much better than that dark cell. However, he did not understand why he was imprisoned in the first place, and now another reason arose.
The senior members of nobility noted that the existence of brothers would complicate the progression of one of them into royalty, so they ordered the two to have a duel to the death. It was the norm in Oblivion, where strength equaled everything for its people. They were both given a single day before the fight, and both wished that it didn't need to be done. However, Laurentius knew that he was the only one fit for the throne. He couldn't allow his brother to defeat him, for it would drive Oblivion into the ground... and he would be driven into insanity by the pressure of ruling. Laurentius already had the experience, being taught by others of nobility. So... he came up with a plan. He just could not tell his brother, however.
On the day of the fight, Laurentius and his brother clashed blades, equally matched in physical prowess. He avoided using his magic, not until later in the fight. Twenty minutes into the duel, they both grew to become very tired and exhausted. Laurentius suddenly grabbed his dear twin by the neck, absorbing his life energy. When he had taken his fill, he dumped his almost lifeless body off the top of the castle.
Cheers surrounded the new king, but he ignored every sound around him. He hoped that his body would be taken elsewhere, knowing that he would still be alive. The king indeed stole his soul energy, but not all of it. He left enough for him to survive the fall, and a sliver more to stay alive the moments after. A small crew of castle servants paraded the 'dead' body around the kingdom, before leaving him in the forest bordering the Kingdom.
Now faced with the challenge of maintaining Oblivion, Laurentius realized after the battle that he must release his emotions to keep order over the people. His love for his brother prevented him from being able to kill him, and he had barely succeeded in keeping him safe. There was no more room for close calls like these.
During his coronation, the new King Laurentius XIII pulled the Oblivion Sword from its place in front of the throne, holding it up as his subjects watched. After nine years of ruling, there were many challengers to the throne. None survived. After nine years of commanding his armies, there were multiple attempts of conquest over smaller villages and cities around it. None defeated the army of Oblivion. After nine years of wielding the Oblivion Sword in his hand, Black King Laurentius XIII is still in power.
