Claire is not very good at wielding weapons, however, she uses a pink and blue baton as a way of directing her magic. On the end of her baton is the Tidal Bell she acquired from Lugia which she also utilizes with magic. Claire has also been seen whacking people on the head if needed, out of self defense.

xx Magic

Much of Claire's magic is derived from her partners, although, part of her power is a direct result of the combined blessings of Cresselia and Lugia. She also has more varieties of magic than any magician in Somniis, albeit, many of the abilities could never be used in battle, but are more of a magical representation of Claire's personality.

Heal Bell: Claire's Heal bell ability is used when she forces energy through her body into her Tidal bell. This ability allow her to create a soothing noise that heals many ailments and can quicken healing.

MoonBlast This ability is probably her strongest offensive technique. This power involves Claire absorbing power from the moon to create an orb of energy capable of doing considerable amounts of damage on an opponent. This skill is stronger at night than in the day, and it is stronger the more present the moon is.

Swift: This ability allows Claire to create many, various sized, star shaped energy formations which she can launch in any direction she wants. The light provided by the stars combined with the users concentration makes the move practically impossible to dodge.

Charm: This ability allows Claire to form several pink, blue, or purple heart shaped energy forms at the opponent that cause the target to weaken physically. Being hit by too many of these can cause mild infatuation

Baton Pass This ability allows Claire to enchant her baton, allowing her to perform various tactics. One methode allows the baton to merely switch her and ally's position, as long as the ally catches the baton. Also, Claire can use this ability to transfer raw energy or happiness to others by touching them with the tip of the baton.

Misty Terrain: This ability allows Claire engulf the entire area with a colorful sparkly mist which prevents curses and negative or dark spells from being performed. Also, if Claire focuses enough, she can form the mist into a solid, fluffy like material that varies in density and stickiness.

Disarming Voice: This ability allows Claire to sing in such a way that her voice seems beautiful to all that hear it. She can also drastically increase her volume, creating a damagin shockwave.

Dazzling Gleam This ability allows Claire to manipulate light to her bidding. She can create bright bursts of light, and she can also absorb it to form darkness. She also has the ability to manipulate light into illusions; she can also completely see through and dispell any and all illusions and powers related to them. Her own illusions usually involve butterflies...

Celebrate: This is probably Claire's favorite ability. It allows her to summon various party elements to use at her disposal. The most notable include confetti, sparkle dust, firework like lights, streamers, colorful ribbons and sweet foods. Claire has grown adept at enchanting boxes and items with this power.

Wish: Finally, Claire's only ability she she has that she would have had, regardless of her maiden position or her blessings. Wish allows Claire to bend reality to her will. This ability partially a result of her knowledge of the Somniis secret, but it truly originates within her own soul. Claire has the ability to wish for something, and, in some way or form, the wish comes true. This wish is often twisted if it is not asked properly, or, if it was, the wish has enormous repercussions on Claire's body. Claire can make one wish that will turn out exactly as she wished for it, however, this one wish results inevitably in death.. Claire also has no knowledge that this ability exists.

xx Appearance

Claire has two separate forms in which she appears. Both forms are similar in apparel and attire, however, there are several physical differences.

The first form will be reffered to as her "Dream Form". In this form, Claire's hair is a long, single wave of bright pink. Her eyes are also a bright pink in this form.

The second form will be reffered to as her "Spirit Form". In this form, Claire's hair is a flurry of many light blue ribbon-like hair collections. Her eyes are a bright teal while in this form.

For apparel, Claire is almost never seen wearing anything but ball gowns. She is usually seen wearing blue or teal colors in her life form. She is usually seen wearing pink or lavenders while in her dream form.

Claire is obsessed with butterflies and utilizes them all the time in her outfits. Most notably is the butterfly on her back which appears as if she has wings. She also often holds her hair up with butterfly pins.

xx Personality

       Purity: All who have ever known Claire personally would agree on one thing: She is pure. Claire, as a person, completely abhorrs all things dark, or evil, and things such as those are completely avoided by her. Truly, Claire doesn't make an effort to avoid dark things; it's more like dark things merely steer clear of her. If Claire evers encounters anything she calls dark, she would do everything in her power to either escape the darkness if it is unavoidable, or fix the darkness if possible.

              Light: While not truly a personality trait, this is truly the best word to describe how she causes darkness to flee from her. People who normally have nothing to do with the brighter side of life will often find themselves seeing the world in a different perspective, even without Claire's input.

       Positive: Claire also has an incredible outlook on everything in life. Truly, this is part of her purity, however, one can be pure in all the wrong ways. Claire, on the other hand, is pure is the overly positive sense. Truly nothing can bring her down unless it is something that powerfully affects her sense of light. Even if she encounters a force of darkness she can't contend with, she will usually just get over it and continue on with life.

       Honoring: Claire has a deep sense of honor, both toward her friends, particularly the Maidens with which she lives, and toward her realm. Clair's honor also extends toward her Pokemon partners and friends, as well as to the deities to which she owes her abilities. Claire has a deep respect for her family, despite the fact that she rarely sees them.

              Loyalty: As a result of her honoring attitude toward people, Claire will often form an intense, loyalty-filled, bond with someone. Bonds like these are more like powerful bonds of friendship in which she would easily sacrifice both her time and herself for the benefit of both the friendship and the friend.

                     Sacrificial: While Claire doesn't truly know it herself, she has an inward guilt of sorts which makes her feel partially responsible for many of the bad things she has discovered around the island. As a result of this unknown sense of guilt, Claire unknowingly has an innate wish to sacrifice herself for someone she cares for. This is the reason she would be so easy to lay down her life for others despite her position.

       Humble: Partially because of her purity and goodness, Claire has a very humble look on herself. She has never felt that she is in any way better than anyone on her island, and she has always felt as if everyone is equal to everyone else in their own right.

              Compassion: As a result of her humility, Claire has a deep compassion for the people around her. The people of her island, the Maidens with which she lives, everyone she encounters--Claire's heart wishes goodness on them all. This also ties in with her sacrificial trait to make for a very strong, yet caring leader.

                     Life-orientation: Claire has, as a result of all many of her traits, an intense love for life. As a result of this, Claire denies any of her maidens the right to kill enemies, even in battle, and she is deeply saddened at even the thought of death. (Of course, this sadness last for short periods of time considering her positive outlook).

Party lover: Claire loves o have fun, and her way of doing that is by having parties. She uses her various abilities to make her parties exiting and she has a deep love for music. She often performs music while at her parties.

Claire has two Pokemon. One is her soul Pokemon and one is a real, living Pokemon. Both are Eevees and the only difference is that the soul Eevee is a normal breed while the real Eevee is a shiny breed. Both Eevee are incredibly nice and kindhearted. The physical one is more cudly than the soul one which is more protective.

Something even Lugia didn't know when giving Eevee to Claire, is that her soul Eevee is actually eventually going to be the literal soul of the physical Eevee. In other words, the Physical Eevee is destined to die, however, it is also destined to come back to life with the soul Eevee acting as the physical Eevee's life force.

Using power from the soul Eevee causes her "dream" for to become evident. Using power from her real eevee causes her "life" transformation. The last transformation is the one she stays in until she uses another Eevee's power.

This is His-story

xx History

Claire was born into a small family who lived near the edge of the island. Claire was always a special child, speaking of things young girl couldn't possibly normally understand. This all stemmed from Claire's love of goodness and light.

One day, at a special celebration, Claire got to meet the First Maiden of Somniis. While truly, it was Claire's honor to meet the ruler, the Maiden was very intrigued by Claire, stating that her heart was truly pure, something that she hadn't seen in a while.

Several months passed before word came from the First Maiden saying she wished for Claire to live with the ruler for a while. Thrilled, Claire happily accepted the offer. For several years, Claire trained under the Maiden, learning the ways of magic along while gaining a respect for both the name of "maiden" and cresselia, the deity through which Maiden's power originates.

Not long after being put under the Maiden's training, Claire was given by trial, a soul Pokemon from Cresselia. The Pokemon, an Eevee, and Claire grew close as she continued her training.

One day, the First Maiden announced that when she passes on, Claire would be the next First Maiden. This fact, while incredibly worth celebration, didn't truly surprise the Somniis people, as, over the years, they had all gotten to know the beautiful girl of light she was.

One day, by happenstance, Claire stumbled upon something she never should have. A scroll, written in blood, had washed up on the sea shore many years ago, and was buried feet beneath the sand. One day when Eevee and Claire were playing on the beach, Eevee noticed the scoll on accident while pretending to dig in the sand while playing hide and seek. Upon reading the scroll, Claire's entire world shook. The revelation she was feeling was so much more than anything she could have imagined.

Upon further reading, Claire realizes that this scroll was written by none other than the Original First Maiden, who was long gone now. However, her legacy lived on in the scroll Claire was reading. The scroll was apparently supposed to be read by one pure of heart, one who could discern what to make of the situation that caused Claire to fear for her own life.

Claire, not knowing what to do with the knowledge of so many secrets, became distraught and confused. She even partially cut off her bond with her eevee, knowing that if Eevee were to inform Cresselia of the facts, Claire would be in more trouble than ever before.

Claire could do nothing about her situation, however, because the next day was the day she was to be dubbed Maiden of Light after the previous Maiden's resign. Claire, on the morning that was meant to be the start of the greatest chapter of her life, was filled with thoughts of worry and guilt and shame, all separated from her partner.

Just hours before she was schuduled to be dubbed maiden, Claire disappeared, going to the one place where things seemed clear: The ocean. For the first time in a while, the moonlight that covered the water was not one unit anymore. Something foreign to Claire was blocking her view. Tears. For the first time in Claire's life, she was crying. As she began to fall apart at the edge of the ocean, a violent storm errupted around her, the clouds formed by what Claire was told was called "Dream Mist". The mist proved that the storm was the doing of Cresselia. As the storm was ready to crush Claire beneath its intense pressure, Claire's only thoughts were of the light she would never truly be able to see again.

Then, those tears that seemed to strange to Claire, out of all of them, one single tear dropped to the ocean, calming the storm and the waters. With eyes filled with wonder, Claire looked over the ocean with awe as she wonders what could have caused the instant tranquility.

Out of the ocean, as if not riplling the water in the slightest, flew the majestic beauty, of Lugia. Claire's mind was blown back as the God of peace began to speak with her. After explaining to Claire the truth of Somniis, as opposed to the lies, Lugia grants Claire a threefold blessing.

The first, a tidal bell, on capable of calming even the most outraged of hearts; a bell with and ever sounding ring. The second, a feather, a single feather which would guide Claire along her way with Lugia at her side, always, and forever. The third blessing, was her Eevee. A real one. Lugia granted Claire the incredible gift of having a Pokemon completely bonded to her, yet completely physical in form.

Along with the three fold blessing, was a curse given by Lugia, trapping her forever in the body she first cried with. Unknown to Claire, this curse is what prevents Cresselia from making her move on Claire for the secrets she discovered. Finally, Lugia warned Claire not to reveal the secret to others and to not do anything about it until the time is fight, for doing so could destroy Somniis altogether.

Filled with new resolve, Claire went back and was dubbed the Maiden of Light, and, after ten years or so of aging none, Claire was placed in the spot of First Maiden after her mentor went missing.

Now Claire reigns, knowing the secrets she does, never aging, and bearing a one of a kind Pokemon. She just hopes her mission can be fullfilled.
