Justice widens his eyes as he gazes over this incredible room. The immaculate artwork, the glowing chandeliers, the enormous windows-- all of this, because of a wish.. Justice looks at the ballroom floor, the beauty and clarity of its reflection evoking a feeling of wonder within his being. All those years, Camellia had access to all of this. All those years, Justice was oblivious to its majesty. All those years, and they have all changed.
Justice remembers his old life, he remembers the previous circumstances, and he remembers how this situation would never have been a possibility. So why? How is this all here before him? Is this a dream, perhaps? These and similar thoughts flow through Justice's mind like honey, not making much headway at all. Then, Justice realizes what had put him in this situation.
So..it was the cat... Justice thinks as he remembers the strangeness of that day. Day. What is today? How has Justice's influence been changed. He needs to know whether this has just now become reality, or if perhaps his entire history has been rewritten. After several moments of thought, the purple haired young man realizes that this reality falls into the latter of those ccategories.
Justice begins to "remember" the new history that been written for him, but all he sees is the fact that he has always ruled. He sees that his life is now basically a parallel existence to Camellia's previous rule. Justice assumes that reality has been changed so that Camellia never succeeded in placing herself on the throne. Justice sees, however, through the unchangeable fact of memories, that his advisor and guard are not the ones he would have handpicked. Instead, Camellia's previous royals are at his side. Literally.
Justice looks to his right as he notices that he is not alone. There stands Kane Rafferty, the adviser of the true monarch, the one who got her place via conspiracy and lies. Justice accepts the fact that the way this reality has shifted is not exactly as he would have desired, but he accepts that it will do. Wishing to learn the missing pieces, he looks to his "adviser" as he begins to speak.
"Sir Kane..this place..it truly is beautiful isn't it? Being here..it makes me so..inspired..tell me..what have you heard of my fair sister? And of my previous handler, Geoffrey. And of my two guards, the old one, and the new.. And the country, what is the current state of my lovely Kingdom. And my partner, where is my partner, the one who hatched into my arms all those years ago. And me, Kane, I wish for your thoughts..on me.. I'm sorry to sound..redundant..Perhaps you tell me these things often..but this place has aroused a new sense of wonder in me.."
Justice looks at his hands as he wonders if what he had just said is true. Then, Justice allows a slight gasp to escape him. This is..how.. Camellia.. I mus'nt.. I will not bear the mask my sister bore..not..not if this is my chance..to start..anew..
