Alrighty guys it is MIDNIGHT!! Time for the Event!! Here is what is going down, I am going to describe a scene in the post directly below this one, your characters can choose on whether to take action or to leave the area. Depending on what they do and what they experience can decide on your character's prize.
The first thing you should know the whole scene after the character enters or leaves the house, will be played out in pm. This whole place is nothing but illusions meaning no other character can see any other character and anything can happen at anytime. The characters can enter in groups, but please ahead of time to post almost simultaneously {at least grouped one after another}.
------ If promises are always empty, why make them? ------
There is a large house surrounded by a gate, this house has appeared out of nowhere in every single kingdom, characters may choose to go inside the house, the surrounding area of the house, or leave. The characters may see different things surrounding the house and may experience different results. The house will find a character's deepest darkest fears, truths, lies, and more. Any experiences could be lost to a character almost as if it was just a nightmare, if the rpier choose for that to happen.
At the end of the series of pms, when Ginger decides the character's fate has been decided a prize will be unfold and that prize will depend on the character's reactions and choices. The prizes can be absolutely anything Ginger chooses them to be, so just BE AWARE, PROCEED IN CAUTION. Know posting in this thread allows the staff member to pull whatever stunts and prizes she wants to. Just merely post below your character's reaction to this new random magical appearing place, if the character is a ruler they can be called upon to check out the scene.
Ginger will be unable to participate in the event, unless a staff member is willing to perform her duty for Ginger's character.
Questions Thus Far
We send in our initial post via PM
Post the initial post in the thread, explaining what the character sees and does as their first action. after that they are literally taken into the illusion and from there it is pm.
first post is them entering and/or checking out the place, yes? Anything following is via PM.
Correct, in other words they get there and wherever they decide to do will cause them to be in an illusion {including trying to leave} and that will be under pm
Even if a character is in the middle of something else right now, they can take part in this event? or are they preoccupied?
Yes they can, sorry needed to clarify that. This whole site is liquid time, meaning you can have multiple threads

Jakob paused at the hilltop, looking down the path to the strange building. Looking to his side, his trusty companion Destiny stood at the ready. "The things i do for king and country..." Jakob muttered under his breath as he turned back to the building and began walking down the path. Under the moon, the building had an erie, almost spooky feeling, which Jakob didn't like. could a witch live here?
Putting his fears aside, Jakob stepped up to the front of the building and opened the door...

Justice had heard rumors of a mysterious house suddenly appearing out of thin air recently, and he had expected to find something at least borderline interesting at the site, so he decided to travel to the area thinking his plans of rebellion could wait.
Upon Justice's arival, however, Justice realizes that "borderline interesting" does not define the intrigue Justice feels when he sees this mansion like structure. Justice looks at the brick border surrounding the entire estate, he notices the sublte glow of what couldn't possibly be candles. Who..would put candles outside on a night like this? And..what candles glow such a strange color..
Justice's wish to understand exceeds the subtle fear caused by the overall ominous feeling this entire place gives off, and Justice approaches the gate of the property. Justice, at first, considers leaving because the gate is locked. After a moment of thought, however, Justice realizes that something shiny was lodged in the ground next to the column lying adajacent to the gate. Justice looks at the object and, without any warranted cause, the object leaps out of the dirt and reveals itself. Justice, at first shocked, makes the display out to be nothing but an accident caused by his foot's stepping near the submerged object. Upon further examination of the slightly dirt caked object, Justice realizes that he is peering down at a set of keys. While the keys appear to be shaking or vibrating, Justice still decides to pick up the strange find and compare it with the lock on the gate. Before Justice's hand even reaches the lock however, the keys seemingly leap once again; this time flinging from Justice's hands to the lock itself. Before long a click is heard and the tumblers are unlatched, allowing the gate to be opened. Perhaps..the metals..were..attracted to each other..
One would think such an ordeal would scare any bystander away, but Justice continues onward, not giving too much thought to the strange set of keys. Justice, on the way down the long, oddly dyed, brick path, notices pumpkins and trees which line the edges of the sidewalk and the property respectively. Both forms of flora appear in and of themselves alive or dwelled in, but Justice still heeds little attention to the strange surroundings. Instead, Justice is led closer and closer to the entrance of the house, seemingly gravitating toward it.
Not noticing the bat looking figures above him, and completely oblivious to the gold-plated masks which line the wall, Justice stands before the front doors. Justice knocks with his right hand, hoping for some sort of response. Maybe..there is something here..which..could aid my cause. Justice thinks with a mischevous smile.

The queen stood before the building. It looked like it hadn't been repaired in years. Which is why she was there; it had mysteriously appeared just last week, and it looked like it had been there for quit some time. Ah, how the superstitious people of the nearby hamlet had cried to stay away from the strange place. But Camellia insisted on checking the strange building with her own eyes. Now that she was here, she wondered what was going on inside. Why do you insist on doing things the hard way? You have any number of servants who would have scouted this building out without you having to come here. Clovis stood behind his master, ever ready to strike at an attacking force.
Camellia maintained her air of calm, there were guards just behind her after all, and thought back to her listening Pokemon. It's good to look like I'm investigating everything that worries the people personally. As long as I show up and look concerned, they'll think I'm their caring queen.
"I think this hive of phantoms is overdue to come down. All it's doing now is spread worry and sickness." Camellia motioned to one of her guards. "Search the building, would you? Make sure there's no one in there who might get hurt, and then come back and get the destruction crew. I've had all I can take of this atmosphere, and am returning to the mayor's house to rest. Camellia climbed back into the carriage, and prepared for the ride back, not knowing that something had already gone wrong, and this ride was not going anywhere she had been before...

It wasn't exactly uncommon for the green eye'd girl to see things. Especially places that seemed to slip into reality from thin air. With her soul pokemon being a Doublade, mysterious images would often pass before her eyes regardless of if Lilith was sleeping or not. Most of the time she interpreted them as visions from her God, Darkai. Or of course "Darkai's Adviser," as she had named her Soul Pokemon. "Now why would Darkai send me a house?" The woman asked out loud as the omnious building before her refused to vanish. "How odd." She cooed as she took a few staggering steps towards it.
With the large scythe clutched in her hands, Lilith began to hum a nursery rhyme she barely remembered. Even the broken syllables sounded ominous as the tall figure approached what she believed to be an apparition. 'Even the crazy know they are crazy, right?' She asked herself, laughing hardily at the thought. Picking up her pace, Lilith found herself at the door to the spooky manor.
When she reached her hand out, she expected it to simply phase through the door and shatter the illusion. When her hand hit the solid door handle, Lilith flinched, withdrawing her hand as if burnt. Muttering under the breathe, the girl landed a solid kick on the door's frame. How dare it accost her hand in such a manner?
Seething with irrational rage, the girl began to pound at the door so rapidly that it began to become unhinged. One final blow from Lilith's fist sent the door flying inward. "That'll show you." She said calmly as her green eyes began to search the inside of the room. It was too dark to really tell what was inside the place. At this point, most people would turn on their heels and run. Of course, Lilith was no normal girl.
Clapping her hands in glee Lilith skipped inside, large scythe in her left hand bouncing wildly with each rise and fall of her feet. "I'm hommmmme Darkai~" Lilith sang out, her childlike voice ringing in the dead silence of the place.
Adian had planned to sleep in today. Planned to, being the key words. A large crashing came from the Inn's main lobby. The bleary eyed woman had managed to pull a dressing gown over her small frame and head downstairs, a large wooden walking staff in hand. It was just too damn early for one of her clan members to be causing trouble or for someone to be trying to break in. As the barefooted woman hurried downstairs she came to a rather odd scene.
Nothing seemed damaged or out of place, though the aforementioned crashing would have told otherwise. Nary a window broken or a rug out of place. In fact, Adian found herself wondering what the hell had awoken here? The morning sun barely peaked over the houses and all was silent. Leaning the staff up against the wall, Adian dragged her hands over her blue eyes. "It's too early for this." She muttered.
Walking to the front door she found herself checking the lock. To her dismay it was left open. Adian swore she had locked it the night before. Quickly hurrying back to where she had left the staff, the small woman opened up the front door to the Inn. Peaking out, she saw no one. The cold morning air was all that greeted blue eyes. Blinking away any sleep, something odd in the distance caught her eyes. A large house stood out from the rest. Adian had never seen the place before, despite having lived her entire life in the Crystal Kingdom.
Still barefoot, the woman stepped outside to get a better look at the place. The more she tried to focus, the more warped and twisted it seemed. A thick unnatural fog clung to the air, hiding its' true form. Shaking her head, Adian found herself walking outside of the Inn and towards the gate surrounding the house. Tilting her head to the side, Adian reached out one slender hand to push the gate aside. It moved with an unnatural ease, as if the metal door was made of nothing but cotton.
Clutching the staff closer to her body in case something was going to jump out of her, Adian continued bravely towards the door. For some reason, she couldn't quite shake the feeling that she'd best be running in the exact opposite direction. Still, curiosity killed the cat, right? Taking a deep breathe Adian reached out and knocked on the large wooden door. The sound seemed to echo loudly throughout the house. It took all the resolve she could muster not to flee as the door slowly opened.
i was tossing and turning and the nightmare i had was as bad as can be IT SCARED ME OUT OF MY WITS !
Nox rarely got up before the sun. Matter of fact it was well on it's way to almost noon before he did anything useful. The white haired man felt more at ease in the darkness. He knew what haunted the shadows cast by the alabaster moon. Now people, they were so much harder to predict and Nox had to be wary of them. Emotions made strangers react violently or unexpectedly and neither was good for him. Ten fingers and ten toes was the perfect number of digits and the warlock was rather attached to his thumbs.
That's why on this particular humid morning, Nox was curled up next to a protective boulder sound asleep. It would be several hours yet before he was awake and thinking clearly. Atleast until Alym started giggling in his mind. The pokemon was adorable and Nox was rather proud to share his soul with a deceptively powerful pokemon. Until he startled making the annoying squeaking that bounced around in his skull. "Lemme 'lone." Nox frowned as he rolled over to find a sharp rock under his back.
The giggling was joined by a deeper humm a sound Nox associated with his lord Darkrai. Immediately sitting up the white haired man searched with bleary eyes for the source. The deity was no where to be found however and there wasn't any immediate danger. "What?" Nox covered a jaw cracking yawn. "What's goin on?"
In the distance, just on the edge of town, an ominous dark shape hovered. Curiosity piqued, but body still lagging behind, Nox sat where he was to wake up a bit. He didn't know what the shape was but he was going to find out. "Now I see why you're so excited. "
Stumbling a bit on sleep weak legs, Nox made his way down the rocky slope and toward the shape. A shape that revealed itself to be a house. Well it was a mansion, or had been. It was dilapidated and hadn't seen a workers hammer or paint in a very long time. Yet he could see the glint of gold ornaments on it. How strange. "What an adventure!" Nox couldn't stop the laughter bubbling up at the thought of such a dark mystery. It was going to be so much fun!
In the darkness truth will be revealed. Nox wasn't the least bit afraid as he lifted his hand to turn the cool metal of the door handle. It's hinges protested as the door swung stiffly inward. With a wide grin and bright hair, the priest stepped inside ready to find the truth among the shadows.
a corpse falling to bits then i opened my eyes AND THE NIGHTMARE WAS ME !

Ash had found himself awoken in the middle of the night from the King's slave quarters. He lay in his plush bed, savoring the feel of the cotton on his bare chest. As he felt his eyes rolling back into his head something again jolted him from his sleep. It wasn't a noise per say, nor was it any stirring from the adjacent room where the King slept. Unable to fall back into sleep Ash lifted himself from his bed.
Allowing the warm cotton sheets to fall to the floor, the man stood up, running a hand through his thick hair. Something was off, but he couldn't tell what. Gently cracking the door between his room and the King's, nothing seemed off. The guards posted by his beside were sitting by the fire sipping at their tea. They didn't even notice as Ash closed the door.
Something drew him to the window. Red eyes peered out into the large court yard. Where there once stood tall trees and blossoming flowers, planted carefully over the years, now lay a small cottage surrounded by an old fence, held together by rotting wood. Curiosity quickly overtook the man as he rushed from his quarters.
In nothing more than a pair of bottoms and his slave collar, Ash ran barefooted down the spiraling castle stairs and into the court yard. The house still stood there, just as ominous as it had been at his window side. Taking a deep breathe, Ash opened up the gate and rushed up to a side window. Cupping his hands, he peered into the odd structure, hoping to see what was inside.

To see the outside world was a frightening experience after almost two years of rarely seeing the light of day. He had been held within the mines for so long that he had almost forgotten what the sky looked like. This was why the blond man was staring up at the sky rather than paying attention to his surroundings. He was too enhanced by the stars and the moon than the house that laid not far from where he stood. Kid. Kid. Stop staring at the damn sky like a fool! A frown formed on his lips, closing the mouth that had previously been hanging open. He blinked a few times as he rocked his head back and forth, ridding himself of the crick that was beginning to form from tilting his head up for so long. Yeah, yeah, I got it. Don't get your panties in a twist. His frown turned to a smirk as the beast within scoffed.
"Spaa--" What sounded like a drawn out mewl was quickly cut off, interrupted by a sharp hiccup. Loki looked down, his eye twitching as green met owlish lilac. Why did he bring this thing along again? Why did you, human? You know I hate these things. Ah, yes, that was why. The man chuckled, reaching down at pet the Espurr, only to tense up as soon as his fingers brushed against the grey fur. No matter how long he was in the presence of a single Pokemon, he never got used to them completely if they were something the beast feared. If the beast feared them, then he was forced to fear them as well. Or, at the very least, feel uncomfortable around them.
The Espurr didn't seem to mind. The feline turned around, running off towards the large building that had popped up out of nowhere outside the prison. That was why Loki had left his little slice of heaven. Letting out a heavy sigh, the blond followed after the Espurr at a much slower pace. The psychic type seemed perfectly content with entering a random house uninvited. Loki, on the other hand, wasn't too thrilled. We might as well treat it as a game. Just try not to get killed. Shouldn't you want me dead? Without another vessel, you'll be free! Pah, shows what you know.
